Will we see Engel again? ....

Bangura is injured, Coulson has disappeared.

He'll probably start on Saturday.

It's been a poor start to his time here, there's no denying that, looks miles off the pace.
It's still early days though.

Initially, and it’s definitely too early to pass judgement, he reminds me of Vlad Kinder. He wants to play in their half, and is dangerous going forwards - also dangerous in our half in possession and vulnerable to players getting in behind him.

No chance he starts Saturday. van den Berg was a million times better at left back than him. And looked much better as a left back than right back too.

Defensively he looks Sunday league, offensively he looks steady. He takes up positions well in possession, but it was obvious yesterday that McGree and Lenihan would only pass if nothing else was on. He actually made 4 or 5 defence splitting runs but only on one occasion did the ball get put through. The players are not daft, they will see it. The recruitment team of which Scott heads up messed up. We now know why the last ditch move for Bangura was made.

I’m not writing him off plenty of players have come back from difficult starts.
We shouldn’t be writing any of the new lads off after 7 games, especially as this run started before they came.

Silvera, for example, I cannot believe was actually signed as a first team starter from the A-league. I’ve no idea why he is starting almost every game and I really don’t think it could have possibly been the intention, he's a bairn. Certainly not for him to get minutes ahead of McGree.

I’d start Coulson ahead of him on Saturday that’s how bad he was last night. He may turn out to be a decent player but he’s no where near ready or good enough yet, and his confidence will be at rock bottom.

Lets be honest, the full backs have no protection at all.

Engel needs to get up to speed quickly, U-23 run outs etc. Bangura didn’t look defensively sound either. Coulson certainly isn’t.

VDB looked a better left back than right back too 🤣
Exactly. Bangura was the third left back I’ve seen this season who looked woeful. Which makes me think it is quite possibly not the left-backs themselves but the system/environment that is a bigger issue.

I don't think he should of been thrown into the starting 11 same with Silvera they bedded time to get used to the league by training for atleast a month to get up to speed on our tatics player relationships and positioning. Having said that 19 year old Rav Van Den Berg is taking it all on the chin he's going to be a star that lad unbelievable

Would you potentially flip the system, 3 CB's, wing backs (Smith/ Jones/ Coulson/ even McGree as potential options)

Might even suit Bangura and Engels more

Rav did much more at LB.

I'd rather bring McNair back in at RB, or start the team that started the 2nd half last night.
