Will there be any summer holidays?

Genuine question.
I know theres bigger problems than summer holidays but do you think there'll be any?
I have turkey booked in August. Luckily having paid much off it yet.
It was a treat and probs last family holiday before one of the kids stops coming. I was looking forward to it so much that I was doing heads in. Now I'm not bothered if it happens or not.
I can't see how we can re open free travel around the globe in 5 months. We might be over the worst but others might not, we might not. It would just start the cycle again. All governments are surely going to have to restrict travel to certain places depending on what is happening then.
This could just keep going around the globe
 
Personally I think you have no chance, sorry but can't see it happening. Would your eally want to be in Turkey with all this going on.
 
I personally think we will break cover in terms of opening up world travel & holidays on a big scale in 2021
I know airlines, travel companies, hotels, and all the way down the chain are suffering very badly, but rushing back to the old normal might start a second wave and I think we have to avoid that.

I think world governments might inpose their own restrictions and build back up very slowly.
We HAVE to learn from this or we'll sleepwalk into another disaster.

No Nobby. Not right now I wouldn't.
A mate of mine was due to go to Peru in a few weeks. He was hoping it would still go ahead. I said f@ck that mate. The ventilator consists of somebody blowing through a straw into your mouth.
I'm not bothered about mine now. I'll do the garden instead. It was more of a query as to when global travel might resume.

I've never been dry in Cornwall yet. The rain must wait for me to go.
If it is staycations then i think I'll either be cycling or Munro bagging
 
Yeah it's a slow drive, 4 hours on a good run but the North Norfolk coast is beautiful and worth it when you get there....
 
Just had my holiday cancelled through jet2. Gave me a voucher and said I need to use it before the end of June. I can book the holiday for any time but the virus may come back again in the winter plus jet2 have put the price of holidays up.

My daughter was about to go to Greece when Thomas Cook folded. Re-booked to go to Malta this Spring. Now that's gone west. She's looking at a nice looking place in Marmaris for next year now. I hope she gets her holiday. For me, I just hope I can get to Lapland in the late summer... but I'm not wildly optimistic.
