Will pandemics be the new go to by media?

When all this is over and we are back to normal life, will our glorious media start using this to put the fear of god into people every year?

They love anything to cause a panic and its clear that a pandemic report will certainly do that in the future!

The daily Express will be predicting the end of the world every week instead of the 'beast from the east' apocalyptic weather that never turns up.

When I Google anything, I can't believe the horror stories and real fear that the Express are saying. It's sensationalist fear mongering rather than balanced reporting of the situation.

To the ops point yep, when this is over I think we will end up with lockdowns becoming 'frequent' I bet the one after this one will be within 6 years.

Im not conspiracy theorist but the thing i will be looking at (and we all should) is how many of the temporary laws that have been pushed through, will actually be rescinded once this is over. It is entirely possible that they will leave some in place 'just in case' for the future.

I sort of agree. But some news media are at least trying to get to the bottom of the stories. Interesting to hear the police constable of the area where the barbecue was yesterday; he said how well people were respecting the lockdown! I think the BBC were hoping gor some sensationalism and didn't get it.

No but I also don’t think Boris Johnson is trying to use the bill to make the U.K. a dictatorship.
In 6 months time if the bill is not needed it will get cancelled by parliament
