Will people be allowed back to the match if vaccinated??? If so it might be the older people back first???
So we can guarantee that there will be one.The government have said, for what thats worth, that there will be no vaccination certificate.
I suspect that may be a driving force behind any government decision, but I would have thought our infections will start to fall dramatically once vaccinations become more common place. Bare in mind that most of us won't be getting vaccinated for months yet unless you are older or have underlying conditions. We have about 7 or 8 million over 70's so vaccination will take a while. By the time we get round to the younger folks I would expect infection rates to have fallen because we will have entered spring and we will have a large portion of the population vaccinated.I presume the countries with very low infection rates will refuse entry to those from countries that have high infection rates. Presently its possible only if you go into quarantine for 14 days.
But that will need to change. which means a vaccination certificate.
I don’t see more than a few thousand being allowed in this seasonSo we could still be like we are for quite some time then???
I'm not sure what you're referring to there. If you mean that the government have said they will not be using a system of "immunity passports" based on a vaccination certificate then maybe that's true.Realistically we are at least 4-5 months away to getting some semblance of normality back I fear. The vaccine will mean this is the last winter we have to suffer this way, medically, rather than football wise, we hope.

What I was actually saying liamo was that by the time enough people are vaccinated to make a vaccination certificate workable there may be tiny rates of infections so the whole question would be moot.I'm not sure what you're referring to there. However I'm sure there will be a way to get a vaccination certificate, not least because some countries will almost certainly start requiring them for entry (once the vaccines have been available for long enough for that to be practicable) as a way to avoid their current mandatory quarantine regulations.
It has also been pointed out that they may eventually be required in some areas of employment - care home workers, front line health care workers etc.
