WIlko RIP

Very sad news indeed. Unique figure in music. His guitar style waa much mimmicked and admired. As songrwiter, guitarist and livewire lieutenant in Dr Feelgood the most exciting pre punk band in the UK.
When he was diagnosed with terninal pancreatic cancer he opted to keep playing rather than have chemo. I travelled to London for his farewell tour but he somehow kept going and I saw two more farewell gigs later that year. Eventually, it was recognised that his cancer was extremely rare and surgery was possible. Ground breaking surgery proved successful and he was given years of extra time.
Wilko was amazing to watch live and penned some of phenomenal songs. The real, authentic voice of Essex.
RIP

Very sad news. A musician and style often mimicked but never bettered. Never got to see him, despite many "near misses".

Struggle to think of many "cooler" sounding records than those first few with the Feelgoods.
