Wilder vs Fury

Have to say I thought Wilder would knock him out or open the cut. I can't stand the bloke but fair play to Fury. Magnificent performance & deserves all the credit he gets.

Excellent performance and had obviously done his homework to know how to cut him out of the fight.

This has been a long time coming for Wilder... the guy is so one dimensional it’s ridiculous he hasn’t been been before.

anyone know how many fights Fury has left on his current TV deal in the USA?

He’s a very strange man. His openly misogynistic and homophobic views are disgusting. He clearly has mental health problems and you wonder what will happen with this man when his boxing career is over

Didn't you say the other day that you believe boxing should be banned? Why bother commenting in a boxing discussion if you feel so strongly about it?

Absolutely masterful, Fury basically took it to Wilder from the first bell and never let up. Sheer force of nature but with the guile and ringcraft to go with it - I take my hat off to him.

I believe Fury has 2 fights remaining on this ESPN deal so I'm not sure how they can make the Fury vs Joshua (who is on DAZN) fight happen, but I'd love to see it!

The most impressive thing about last night to me is that Fury has now beat Wilder twice(in my opinion) in 2 completely different styles. How many fighters can beat a world champion in 2 different styles? Kinda crazy really and shows the level of talent he has.

I maybe wrong, but I think him and his team have got to come up with excuses to try and justify taking up the rematch.

I guess he want's to cash out, so you can't blame him, but I very much doubt that he thinks he can win. He's got the money shot that he was trying to get away all of the fight. He looked absolutely exhausted, so maybe putting on the extra weight was a mistake. Sacking the guy who threw in the towel is also a measure to create another excuse and justify a rematch. You'll hear these rhetoric's closer to the next fight if it goes through.

Embarassing excuses.

I'm gutted he's went for the rematch, either he's beaten for the third time in a row or an American holds a heavyweight belt again.
There's no entertaining option, he was that badly beaten last time that there won't be much to get hyped up about.

I suppose you can't blame him for wanting some more money though.

I'd have thought the best move for Wilder would have been to have a couple more fights against lesser opposition and then try and get a title shot again. By then Fury may well have retired and if he unified the belts they would all be up for grabs again. hasn't Fury said he's only having another 2-3 fights? That way Wilder could again be world champ.

If he gets hammered by Fury again that's it all over for him really. But he gets a really big payday.

Do those on here who claimed Fury absolutely can’t get a decision in America think the judges had Wilder winning on points when it finished??

It was always nonsense. I put more stock in cash cows getting dodgy decisions rather than home fighters in the US. As I said before, the UK and Germany are far worse than the US.

As for Wilder taking the rematch, doesn't surprise me really, not sure anyone really wants to see it but from his point of view he's 34 years old, not a super mega name so probably doesn't have that much going for him without the belt. If he wanted the Joshua fight now he would get absolutely rinsed financially.

Crazy thing is he still has a chance to beat Fury, I don't care how many levels above Wilder his opponent might be, I would never ever say that he couldn't win a fight against Fury/Joshua/Tyson/Ali, I don't care who it is, his power is weird.
