Wilder Rumours

Currently doing the rounds

He’s applied for the Bournemouth job and been without the club knowing and has been told to stay away.

Thought it was odd yesterday there was no happy birthday tweet.

Strap. Yourselves. In.
Certainly makes you wonder what is really going on behind the scenes. You'd have to say at this juncture the club is looking for a replacement, so that would make sense that Wilder is looking to jump ship before he's pushed.

There’s definitely unrest at the club - whether this rumour is true or not it’s obvious it’s not a happy camp. Despite the obvious lack of strength in depth, particularly in midfield, there is no way we should be bottom three with the players we have. I’d be amazed if Wilder sees the season out here. He’ll either leave for another club or eventually get the shove - things clearly haven’t been right since the Burnley rumours.

I wasn’t referring to the Bournemouth job. As I said.

You came n second post when he only thing that had been mentioned weas that he had applied for the Bournemouth job and said 'This ties in in with something I was told from a great source a few weeks ago'.
Now you claim you weren't referring to that job. I guess it must have been some other job that wasn't vacant at the time eh? Derby? Rotherham? Cardiff?

How regular is it that Manager's go looking for a move?
Did it used to happen back in the day?
McClaren - Leeds rumour
Monk - rumored to be talking with other clubs before sacking
Wilder - seems happy to talk to anyone who will have him

Can't remember it with other boro managers in my lifetime: Rioch, Lawrence, Mogga et etc

“Seems happy to talk to anyone who will have him.”

What are you basing that on? I mean, where’s the evidence? What informs this sort of opinion. It must be coming from somewhere.

My barber was big on the Monk talking to other Clubs rumour.
Only heard about this last week.
I just thought he was sacked because the football wasn't very good (and of course a few allegations after he went)

McClaren - Leeds rumour
Not a rumour as Gibson confirmed it same with monk.

The Middlesbrough chairman launched a scathing attack on the former England head coach. He said: "If Steve said to me the grass is green, I would go out and check. He can be charming but he had this streak of ambition that was absolutely bloody ruthless. {2} {R} "You can't go through life trying to achieve your ambitions at the expense of others. "We shake hands when we meet but he's never been back since he left and he's not on my Christmas card list. "We never want to get into that situation again, I don't want a guy who is always thinking about the next rung on the ladder. He just saw us as a stepping stone and if you can make enemies at a club like ours, you're going to be in trouble when things go wrong."

Bruce Rioch went on to manage Arsenal! He bought Dennis Bergkamp. I think.

Yes he did.
But all kind of 'above board' as already sacked by Boro. (wasn't it Bolton next??)
