Wilder favourite for Burnley???

At the end of this mini drama, if you knew he wanted to go but Burnley appointed someone else (at the end of the season), would you be happy with CW still being In Charge next season?

Not for me, couldn't take his 'integrity' comments seriously and not sure he would command much respect from the squad if they knew he wanted to bail on them at the first opportunity.

The line doing the rounds in the media right now is that Burnley want to appoint an interim manager and decide on a permanent appointment in the summer.

That uncertainty could work in our favour if there has been contact, especially if they go down.
Why wouldn't they just keep Dyche then until the summer? There's only 4 points in it with 7 games and a fairly favourable run in. They need a saviour now.

This perhaps the most logical outcome imo, for the simple reason that hiring any manager for the role would have to be on a long term deal and i just don't see any club being stupid enough to do that. If Wilder or anyone else entering into deal with Burnley the first question would be 1. Can I have a no sack clause at the end of the season? Moreover, I can't see Burnley offering anything over $15m in a transfer budget if they're relegated-- they already have huge debts.

The rumours where that dyche demeanour had changed, wasn’t attending the board meeting as previous and the dressing room had been lost

If our Messiah goes it will only be for one thing: £££££`s.
Burnley are in no position to promise sugar candy mountain and those are Dysche`s players.
Many on big wages.
A new gaffa will have to start in the Champo.
Realistically they are more likely to go down than Everton now.
If Mr Wilder does jump ship - [an we dont go up] he will be back here next year and our choir will be visiting Turf Moor next season to serenade him

He’s never going to be trusted with another transfer window . We might as well get used to the idea he’s off . He’s damaged his own stock and I think fate will treat him how he deserves . Burnley will be the best place for him

Latest odds from Skybet on next Burnley manager. Wilder slipping down the order.

Some fans have to get real - football management is a results based career not a past time, especially at the high level. Look at Mogga a real Mr Middlesbrough, he couldn't get results for 8 months and was gone with a lot of fans asking for his head.
