Wifi - dead spots in the house

Is that £5 a month rental or £5 in total?

The plug is working fine so far.
£5 in total for 3 per month. Well worth it.

Wi-Fi everywhere.

If your contract is up for renewal haggle for them or get some money off your bill. Call the retentions team

Cheap initially but over an 18 month contract you're basically "buying" a £160 mesh system which you then own rather than renting if you just bought it, and probably be higher spec

Virgin do “WiFi pods”. We got one for the baby’s room, to use the monitor. Was a dead spot because it’s in the extension. Works perfect so far

Its not cheap, but I can recommend the Asus ZenWifi mesh network gear. I have it at home and I can get Wifi in next door's garden now and the whole house is covered.

Asus ZenWifi AX (XT8)

It includes a free lifetime subscription to AiProtection which is basically, keep your kids safe online. You can extend the network with an additional node and it addds to AiMesh automatically. I've done this with the garden office as it was cheaper than running broadband cable 100ft down the garden.

I'd highly recommend BT if they have good speeds in your area, as they will guarantee you WiFi in every room or you will get your money back.

We have Virgin and the router is old and WiFi shyte - and they will not sort it unless we pay.
We have a couple of dead spots upstairs - including my office - so we bought a powerline adapter, hardwired my laptop dock and it's been excellent. Not perfect as still suffer with router issues and every so often have to reboot the adaptor but it has been a cheaper solution than a mesh system. If I had the money I would defy go down the mesh route 👍
