Why would you ever drive north of London..twice?

I am on the opposite side of the fence, politically. I'm not an activist but am a LP member. I couldn't care less whether he's an activist, I just watched wide-eyed and with no small amount of bemusement yesterday at him kicking off over really very little.
I’m sure you wouldn’t have been so calm if someone was making the same inference about you, you guys knew exactly what you were doing.

What exactly was the inference? And before you trot out his supposed reason, NOBODY accused him of having similar sexual behaviour to that alleged against the former poster in question. Nobody. They were clearly talking about his posting style and even went to some lengths to clarify that. He just chose to pick up that particular baton and ran away with it.

Not saying there is anything wrong with it, but he 100% is but he does take all sorts of abuse for it which is wrong

In my mind he was well within his rights to get offended, as mentioned and you didn’t answer. - you wouldn’t like your name associated with that person in ANY WAY SHAPE or FORM. This wasn’t an innocent post, just because he took the bait then you act all innocent and blame him for overreacting!

So to be clear, you agree that nobody on this site accused him of anything untoward or illegal?

Anyway, keeping this thing rolling 'on the front page' so to speak, isn't helping him or admin so I'll leave it there.

From what I can see, winding people up seems to be his chief hobby here :D
So that makes it alright then , as mentioned would you like inference made however slight/tenuous - I know the answer! Ask yourself why the post has been removed if it was all so innocent? Ask yourself why he has been banned? Admin need to treat all fairly - I remember being told off by admin for giving a slightly sarcastic response to someone once which I then apologised for. Dare I talk about hypocrisy of those making the rules - was a hot topic one here the other week, seems to have continued this week!

I've never known something like the divide in politics where people think it is okay to abuse eachother.

Cooper even admitted himself this thread was ‘naughty’.

Fat Cat, in my view, there is nothing wrong with Cooper being a Tory activist (if he is one) and posting his side of the argument on the topic of the day.

But this is a Boro forum and most of us are normal and moderate whether we are Labour or Tory or Lib Dem or whatever.

Cooper put a professionally prepared (presumably Conservative) propoganda poster above referring to a Labour senior staffer I personally had never heard of and all kinds of strange messaging ‘binlabour.com’ (presumably to associate Labour with Bin Laden?), Labour the Party of London (Labour don‘t care about you if you don’t live in London), Kier Starmer is in the picture even though he had nothing to do with the tweet...etc etc.

Now I don’t remember seeing anybody who is a Labour activist (I think funky chicken is open about campaigning for Labour) putting this kind of Goebbels type subliminal political advertising on here and that’s certainly not what I come on here to see, it belongs on political party twitter or Facebook feeds where you can block it out if you wish, not a Boro football forum.

I thought the issue here wasn’t about Cooper (I have no idea about the other subject being referred to) but about the nature of some of his political posting.

Well you need to watch the Parliamentary channel and see what goes on in the HoC. Some of the exchanges are cringeworthy to witness and they have been going on for years.

I do t care whether he is a Tory activist or not, as mentioned there are half a dozen other posters in here who I would class as activists who come before him.

Neither do I, he can live his life how he wants, it’s what he posts (sometimes) that I think is wrong. If he posts something and gets a bad reaction then who’s fault is that?

I think you’ve hit the nail on the head there - he wasn’t posting at the time somebody dragged his name into it, that’s why he’s rightfully upset.

I've nothing against Cooper, but you need to remember that this isn't just a football message board. It's a football fanzine message board. Born out of a progressive movement railing against the way that football fans were treated under the Tories in the eighties. Remember Thatcher's membership scheme? It's not surprising that a fanzine board for a north east club should be left leaning. I've no problem with Tories being on here, but they should behave as if they are in an away pub, zip their jackets up to hide their colours and chat politely on matters other than politics.

Do you actually believe any of that nonsense you've written? Whatever your politics this board should be as inclusive as possible, unless your a nazi.
