Ah yes. The stick your fingers in your ears approach and sing load as you can and it might go away. It didn’t work in the election despite being told people were switching in their droves and it doesn’t work now.

Key is understanding why people switched not pretending they didn’t in the 1st place

Firstly, (as I’m sure you actually know) the ban on political activity only applies to the most senior civil servants. Others, depending on grade, are either free to be politically active or can do so with the permission of their employer. All civil servants must perform their functions with neutrality though.

Secondly, even those civil servants who are barred from holding political office are allowed to be members of a political party. The ban is on running for election or performing a role in the management of political activities.

And thirdly, why do you persist with these nonsensical claims to be a former Labour voter? They are at complete odds with all of your postings and quite frankly, make you look idiotic.

The only explanation could be that you once accidentally put a cross in the wrong box. I think most people would be more inclined to believe Dominic Cummings reasons for travelling to Barnard Castle, than you being a former Labour voter.

Excuse me but there is no way this poster has ever voted Labour. He acts on many occasions like a paid Tory shill popping up every now again with an attempt at pitiful points scoring with some non story. Like this one.
 
Haha this is brilliant.... you know nothing about me apart from this forum. I can state 100% on my 5 year old daughters life that I have voted labour every election bar the latest.

It’s not me who looks idiotic as I know my voting past. It’s people assuming they know better that is idiotic.

How did you know people were switching in their droves?

Most people know nothing about voter intention other than what they may pick up from the papers or watch on the telly and we all know that information is not necessarily correct.

People just didn‘t know how the last election was going to pan out unless they were on the street canvassing door to door or getting communications from the national Conservative Party organisation....

Make sure you are on message Mr Cooper, just an ordinary working guy, former red wall Labour voter who the party leadership have taken for granted and lost touch with...etc.

Hi Red yes I was in Redcar until 2019 and now I’m in Skelton so not to far away since. Different MP this time round though of course

Really I dont care if its true or not because more than likely I will never ever meet you but its from what you write that we form opinions. It’s your ever too keen and rather irritating smug attempts to smear the Labour party at any opportunity that makes it rather odd that you used to be such a supporter. Still I should congratulate you though. I’m assuming you create these threads to irritate the likes of me so you have succeeded. I guess that must be satisfying. It is also the practice of a troll.
 
I’m assume you actually don’t take much notice because I rarely start threads. Anyone who doesn’t form part of the anti Tory brigade is classed as a troll anyways. One anti Labour thread = troll. Dozens on anti Tory ones = non troll hmmmm

Normally people who start threads answer simple questions about them. You picked up a sniff of an anti-labour "story" and ran with it without checking anything about it.

Thats why you get picked up on, but I sense you knew that already.
 
9% of people polled believe Cummings story.

Everyone else knows he preferred a fortnight in a luxury country retreat and the trip to Barnard castle was for his wife’s birthday.

Well it wouldn't be the first time. There certainly was one on the old board, spreading disinformation and discourse for several years, under a couple of guises. IIRC he was quite a conflicted fellow showing no empathy for any social causes, other than the only social cause that directly impacted him which was LGBTQ rights. Typical of the far right of the Tory party, it's all "what's in it for me" and screw anyone else.
