Same here.Mental health. For that 2 hours I'm in the gym I don't think about anything else but that, it gives me time to switch off, to just have time by myself.
Always comes back round this one, gents. Was walking in the park the other day and was chatting to a couple walking around. Their son was sat down and they mentioned he was 'saving himself for the gym'. I replied that he was already in the gym - it was surrounding him and he was sat in it. I went and told him but he wasn't interested.
Again, was walking the dog near me and a couple of young women were getting in a vehicle with all their gear on. Asked them where they were off to and they said the gym. I'd noticed the house they came from had needed some gardening - so I said 'Nevermind the gym, there's your gym' pointing at the garden. They didn't seem to like it. Took their reg plate and I'll get that vehicle a ticket if I see a parking violation or might just clamp it myself.
Same goes for these cyclists. I always say why not just walk fast? It's cheaper as well.
Some people just don't like being told gents. Anyway, rant over.
That's a bit discriminatory, some of us don't have the option of an EV.I cycle mainly just to annoy people who drive petrol/diesel cars. I am way more courteous to EV drivers.
I do more than that going for the paper.I thought I would just check via Garmin.
My tracked walks last year to date are 1342 miles walked .
3285 Miles cycled.
About 5.5k driven in my Van. of which 2000 miles was driving to Spain and back.
So when you add on the un tracked walks I will probably have walked and cycled more than driven.
Happy enough with that.
Cos of range anxiety? That's a bit discriminatory, some of us don't have the option of an EV.

I think you’ll find that people know they can do it walking fast but the bike is a status thing for men at least. It’s become a bit of d*ck measuring contest.Always comes back round this one, gents.
