Exactly this. Every other team seems to do it but us. It's maddeningly stupid.

It's not like we received an incredible offer we couldn't afford to turn down.

Last year we had a deal pretty much in place to sign that Frank the tank fella from Brentford. We were just waiting for them to sign someone first. That deal for his replacement fell through, they kept him and saved themselves from being a midfielder light. It's not rocket science.
