Why did Stan Anderson leave?

Did all the hard work Stan, happy days as a kid for me. His interviews with Shaun Keogh are a gem, glad someone did this.
Thanks, ticker-tape.

I am sure I still have the video tape of the second interview (there is a snippet on you tube at
), I will review it today and put a couple more 10 minute snippets up and show the links on here later this afternoon, all being well. It was a good interview to watch as I recall because Stan was unusually chatty and friendly.

Stan was a canny manager but he just didn't have that extra something that made the difference between finishing 4th and finishing top.

Big Jack had that extra something, and he had Bobby Murdoch of course.

Thanks Shaun, great those interviews on your site. Would love to see the 2nd interview.

I watched the first tape of the video interview with Stan this afternoon and have edited it into a 10 minute piece detailing how Stan came to join Boro, his first impressions on the set up at the time, and how his leaving Boro for AEK Athens came about. There's quite a bit here that never made it to the print copy in MSS, and I dare say the same will apply when I view the second video. If that is the case, I will put another video together.

Brilliant that Shaun and a very candid interview, spills the beans on something my old fella repeated to me , Shep did nowt. Blows the lid on what a tin pot club we were before Stan arrived, no wonder Gibbo wont entertain a board. I enjoyed that very much, thanks.

explains a bit about why clough left, brilliant attack but shocking defence and the whispers.....

As an aging Boro fan I would love to see the unedited video before I move to the Holgate in the sky. The Anderson management years are special in my memory as it was when I started going with my passed Dad.....
