I think it’s starting to be stubbornness on Wilders part. He gets tetchy when asked about him, knows the general feeling around the place about him but persists. The other strikers must wonder what they’ve done so wrong.

Again, possibly third game running I think Wilder got his team selection and subs wrong.

Connolly offers absolutely nothing to the team.

If we're going to get the best out of Connolly we need someone who can play in the hole and feed him with through balls in my opinion. Again today he was wanting to play as an advanced forward and on the shoulder of the defender but we only looked to pick out the runs Watmore made, or went long most of the time.

Only way we might actually get a tune out of him is if we try Payero in the no 10 role, and Connolly as the lone striker, but it would be a huge gamble as I'm not actually confident he has the pace to get in behind the defence, or the composure to score a goal after being put through.

Think maybe now is the time to move on and give others a chance. I'd be interested to see how Coburn and Balogun would fare together.

Beginning to think Wilder is suffering from Einstein’s Theory of Insanity when I look at Connolly.
