Why are taxis still allowed to be trading?

Surely this is a prime place to catch the virus, no social distancing and potentially an incubator. An awful scenario could be a taxi driver picking up a fare at 7am, the passenger(s) passing on the virus to the driver who then throughout the day picks up 30/40 more jobs.

Buses and Trains I can get my head around, as you can probably sit the required distance apart, but not in taxis !!

I will raise you Air travel. Still plenty in and out of the Country albeit a slow decline over the last few days. No escape in a row of 3's on a long haul.

40 people on the bus all touching the hand rails as they walk on and off. I can't really see either being ideal.

Air travel is actually the safest public transport - the air is regularly recirculated and filtered, and is likely to be much cleaner and less contaminated than most offices and on a par with the air in most hospitals
