Why are BMW drivers so bad.

my personal pet peeve is people not moving over from the left hand lane, when they can easily do so, to ease the joining of traffic from the slip road.

I agree with you, but having just had a kia picanto hire car, I found it quite hard to get past 40 when accelerating - driving a small engine car is quite a skill, and takes lots of high rpm & noise.....

Yeah, my daughter's got one of those. It does feel a bit different like...
 
I’m by no means perfect when driving and I make mistakes sometimes but they are genuine mistakes, and I always apologise, they are not just crap / inconsiderate driving. Some things you see on the roads range from irritating to take your breath away stupidity/ selfishness.

Couldn't agree more. My sister has one and it really struggles to get up to speed

Can I qualify that please. The cheap end of Beemers, like 118'd and 320d are picked up by oiks and driven like they were stolen.

Some of us bothered to learn where the indicators are ;)

Currently on our 5th Beemer, this one the last 4 years and I certainly don't behave like the views expressed here and using the description 'alpha male' is laughable.
 
I drive regularly from North Yorkshire to Manchester. The M62 is an appalling example of how poor driving is endemic in this country.
Racing duals especially in the evening between Huddersfield and Leeds, means your over and under taken continuously irrespective of you own lane or speed.
Most of these "wannabe shumachers" are at least in high performance vehicles.
Even more dangerous to me are the tiny tin cars driven to their extremes by young people( lately more and more aggressive girls) weaving there way around the Manchester ring roads. Too many cars , too many speeders too little good driving technique .

I apologise. It was, of course, a sweeping generalisation. In no way was I suggesting that all BMW and Audi drivers are stupid alpha males.

Just some of them.😉

i’m sure you’re driving is as perfect as mine, and all the other posters who have contributed to this thread who are also perfect drivers, and have never made a mistake whilst driving, never once exercised poor judgment or upset any other road users.

Conversely there are those who feel you have to move to let them join, even if it's not possible. I've been there a few times and the joiner feels it's all my fault. It's a give way and should be treated like any other give way junction.
 
Not only BMW driving, what about parking !
Self trimers doesn't come into it they ( and other high grade cars) seem to think chevrons in car parks are for them only

Absolutely not, I **** up as much as the next man !!
 
Loads of things other drivers do wind me up.
But then again I'm a pretty average driver so I'm sure I do things that wind loads of other drivers up.
I do think it is fantastic that a relatively small forum such as this is populated by the creme de la creme of road users.
For example, I bet no-one on here struggles to grasp the concept of merging in turn when approaching a lane closure.
