With some of the new boys starting to settle in and having had a number of players injured or ill recently, I wondered who you would consider as the player we would miss most if they were out for a number of games?
For me it would be Dieng or Hackney as we seem well covered in most positions.
We have coped well without Lenihan, Howson, McGree and O’Brien very recently and the depth and versatility in the squad means we have good cover in most positions. The problem might be if we lose 2 or 3 in the same position but the emergence of Engel, Barlaser and Greenwood in particular has given more confidence that we could cover most situations. I’m not sure many squads in the Championship have the same luxury.
Hackney has been superb recently though we do have Howson, Barlaser and O’Brien if all are fit to cover.
We haven’t seen much of Glover in goal but Dieng has done brilliantly so may be the biggest miss.
What do others think?
