He's a war hero again ...... Hurrahback in the fold isn't he. He'll be there in uniform and the cultists will brush over it.
He’ll have all his shiny medals, yes falklands one but also his mummy’s favourite son medal, his I defeated the fbi at the battle of Epstein island award, his anhidrosis survivor medal, and of course the Maitlis award for services to fictionHe's a war hero again ...... Hurrah
Yea, because I’d you don’t you won’t be eaten alive by rabid dogs. Get a grip. This is ridiculous hyperbole. I suspect that less than 1% of people under 70 will buy into this allegiance twaddle.Almost?
We’re talking the message NOT the reaction to it. The message itself IS North Korea-esque, the reaction will of course be different, so there is no need to ‘get a grip’, or even be rude to fellow posters who point out the tone deafness of the messageYea, because I’d you don’t you won’t be eaten alive by rabid dogs. I’m in a minority here, but I think that the only people who care about this nonsense will vote Tory anyway. I just cannot envisage anyone changing their political stance over whether someone took an absurd, antediluvian oath or not.Inevitably this 'oath' will be exploited politically. The RWNJ MPs will boast about having taken the oath while pointing out opposition MPs who did not. Albeit they all take an oath when they become MPs. I fully expect Sunak to bring this up at next PMQs.
Yes you are probably right. It will end up being divisive with the 'patriots' crowing at the 'traitors'.I’m in a minority here, but I think that the only people who care about this nonsense will vote Tory anyway. ‘Stick ‘em up you traitorous cad, you young mountebank, you treacherous blackguard.’Yes you are probably right. It will end up being divisive with the 'patriots' crowing at the 'traitors'.
What will be chilling is pished up gammons at street parties orchestrating the oath and daring anyone to stay silent.
No need for the micro-aggressions fella, debate like an adultOk BoroMart, keep your hair on
Oops. Not being aggressive at all BoroMart. Just a little light-hearted banter. If you feel that I’ve been aggressive toward you personally, then please accept my apologies. No need for the micro-aggressions fella, debate like an adult
Luckily there seems a real dirth of street partiesYes you are probably right. It will end up being divisive with the 'patriots' crowing at the 'traitors'.

so many silly tropes in one post, hilariousI always sense with some people in this country there is a desire to remove all sense of tradition in it. And I’m like, why? Making the place a republic will do absolutely nothing to improve equality in this country . There are many republics in this world where inequality is worse than us . Many European countries still also have monarchies too
I work with a lot of people from different countries and they’re really looking forward to watching the coronation. Hell I’ve even heard my Indian colleague continuously saying god save the king and seems obsessed with the monarchy . The idea we’re a laughing stock to the world as we have a monarchy is flat out wrong .
The monarchy is the most quintessentially British thing you can get . It’s something a lot of people overseas think of when they immediately think of Britain and it feels nice it distinguishes us a lot from the rest of the world . I’ll be working so can’t watch , but I wish the king a wonderful reign . God save the king
Also waiting for republicans to head to work on the bank holidays .
No man should bow down to any other
ITV Poll - I think it was 85% no earlier on... I'll certainly not be..
