According to her latest brain vomit at the Institute for Government this morning, it was all the fault of the namby pamby woke liberal economic establishment. The Treasury for example.

It is the Conservative Party Conference in two weeks. Truss was elected leader by the Conservative Party membership beating Sunak who'd won the MPs vote.

This time last year the 1922 Committee changed the rules so that a candidate had to have 100 MPs backing them, Johnson pulled out & Mordant was neutralised, so that a membership vote wasn't necessary leaving Sunak to assume the role. The members are unhappy that they were deliberately excluded from the process and are going to voice their complaints in two weeks time.

Truss is now speaking to them, reminding them about how all the commentators said it was the first Conservative Budget in 20 years but she tried to do too much too fast and the "lefty stockbrokers" had it in for her.

Batshit crazy stuff but it will be lapped up by the RWNJ in the membership and media. I think she's positioning herself for a leadership run when Sunak loses the election & steps down to count his wife's money.

Crazy. We all know it was the anti-growth coalition that conspired to bring Truss down.
 
It’s true sunak is prob the least elected leader in post war history ( maybe after SIR ADH)

In fact it’s hard to work out just exactly who did elect him
