Who still has their original username from the old board?

I've still got the same from years ago. I have still posted the odd post and replied on the old board. But it doesn't really get used by the looks of it. U post something on there and it still seems on the front page for about a week

Go back to the late 1990s I think there was some Boro discussion board set up by Tim Lloyd who I believe was based in Hong Kong and I may have posted on there. It was publicised in the print copy of FMTTM. I had been using the Internet since January 1996 when I registered for educational discussion boards for my previous job. No broadband then, everything was slow, unpredictable, only 4 users allowed at the same time where I worked and there were 200 staff. I knew it was the future the first day I tried it.

The Tim Lloyd list was great during my time at Keele uni in mid 90s up until the Easter hols and rumors of us signing Sol Campbell. When I returned I was locked out due to the 12000 emails I had in my inbox and had to go and grovel to the computer services jobsworth who didn't think that Boro looking to sign England internationals was a good enough reason for slowing down his computer network. He was probably a Port Vale fan:)

I got in a bit of trouble after joining a vessel and putting the company/department email address into the mailing list so I could take part while I was on shift. It didn't go down well when the inbox was filled up with 100+ emails when I had my first 12 hours off :)
 
Long time lurker on other board. Nolo76 before. As for getting banned/barred-Never say anything online you wouldn’t say in ‘real life’. It’s okay for people to differ in their opinions.
 
I was originally Hicktonspenaltyrunup but somehow, without getting into any bother or being sent to the naughty corner, I had to resurrect myself as BoroinBuxton. I never quite understood why, or asked. I guess I was busy at work at the time :)
 
I was nor_mate on the old one for years. Got a new laptop and couldn't remember my email/password etc so re-registered as Joey Chicago as it's the name of a DJ whose songs I was hammering at the time!
 
Made one post I think with my original username but then either didn’t post for ages and forgot password or lost it in a board meltdown / software update. I really can’t recall to be honest. I’ve had this name ever since I re-registered on the old board but have no idea how long ago that was, maybe 10-12 years? I really need to pay more attention.
 
Was originally rob_in_whitby from 2002 but changed it when I moved to Guisborough in 2006. I moved to Newton under Roseberry last week, however, but I don’t think I’ll update my board name, unless it breaches trades descriptions or some such nonsense....

Never changed my name on either board. Must have had it 15 years now. Never banned or even gotten into an online row. I'm a lover, not a fighter :love:
 
I thought most had to port over their existing username from the Old Board to the New to fast track registration? Werent admin matching usernames to email addresses originally?

Yeah, that was the reason I stuck with this name.
 
There are a few good posters that dont post on the new board, which is a shame
