Who next through the door

A striker, keeper, wide an, No10, maybe all

Will Gibson come back, which I much doubt, or think should, Roberts signed on a year's loan would be another cracking season
The CB from Northampton, or is he going to QPR to replace Hall maybe

Exciting few weeks of NW's wants, he'll certainly have more pulling power than a good few Boro managers
Why don't you think Gibson should come back? If we could get him he'd be far better than anyone else at CB that we can get to come to Boro. For the record I'm not his biggest fan though.

I honestly think we're going to see 10 or 11 additions. Neil always likes a big squad with more than a few striking options!

How will the numbers add-up?

Whilst I don't want us to sign him as I think it would be a ridiculous signing based solely on the fact he's related to the chairman.......

I'd assume Burnley still 'owe' us £7.5 million from his £15 million sale ( 2years into his 4 year deal).

So we 'sign' him for £7.5 million from Burnley, effectively zero to both clubs, we don't get £7.5 million in, Burnley don't pay £7.5 million out. Then he signs a 4 or 5 year deal on £20k a week which matches his wages spread over a longer period.

Or he just signs for Leeds or Shef U or someone.

If that's correct I can see what you mean, cheers.
I know this has been debated before but one would have to think he's got to believe he can play at a higher level than the Boro will be at over the next few years?

Patrick Roberts please.
I would avoid out and out wingers as I wouldn't want to see the development of Spence and Coulson held back. Happy with a skilful dribbler who can play in the hole or inside forward though.
Yes, I think from what I saw over the last few weeks he would be great. Would be good for his game.too

well he likes to play 433, so I'll highlight the players that I think he will look to replace in the first team:

.......................Stojanovic
Dijksteel.........Hall.......Fry......Coulson
.....Saville......Howson....Tav
Spence........Britt..........Fletcher

I'd expect he will look to replace in the top 3rd, he'll keep Fletcher as an option at CF, but will want a new first choice. Wide players, with power and pace are the type he like out wide. A specialist defender at LB, a backup CB and a bit of craft in CM

Hugill will cost a few million as West Ham will want to get a few ( £5million) back as they paid £10 million for him, based on this its a no go for me

I agree that Rhodes and Hugill weren't used to best advantage, but it's just the idea of bringing players back again. It never seems to work out.
That would would also exclude Ben Gibson. Also he might get stick for being the owner's nephew. Before he always played well enough to fend it off, in a team that was doing well, but this time around might be more exposed.

You think. Spence will go?

Unknown times , we need to try to carry on and put a team out to compete at the top end of the league , without spending big . Although I would like players like Freeman , Hugill ,the fact we are out of the bidding for Moore due to costs , suggests we are being careful . They are on premier league wages so I can’t see it. Hugill is on £36k pw.
Woodrow , Chaplin , Maddison , Windass, O'Donnell, Blackett more likely , I would love us to follow the Brentford way and have European talent lined up.
If we managed to go up , we need players who can step up to premier league so we stay there .
One step at a time , but this is a huge chance to set the foundations for the future of our club.
I trust Neil to do the required recruiting with minimal outlay , selling Britt , McNair , and more to finance the squad rebuild , with some decent players coming in on low wages . Huge month ahead , in NW we trust 👍

Last seasons wages/budget is totally unsustainable...

We will be shopping in the free transfer/ bargain bucket arena.

BUT the secret is getting the right ones. Just because Britt cost £15M doesn't make him a better player...
