Who next through the door

If Internet transfer / club finances sites are to be believed (I know!) then Wing is meant to be on £2k a week and McNair is meant to be on £20k a week.

So it makes sense for us to move him off the wage bill if we can. If we also move Britt on I think that is the last of the 'big' earners off our books.

This will definitely a big factor. You don't reduce your wage bill by keeping the big earners. McNair has some qualities but he isn't good value for money. He cost a fair bit, will have been on good money at Sunderland and we bought him when we were hoping for promotion so he won't have taken a huge pay cut to come here, he'll be on similar.

If they cost the same then I'd probably keep McNair ahead of Wing. Wing scores goals but his all round play isn't great, and McNair scores as many anyway. Wing is better value for money, hopefully we can put the money we get for McNair, and the wages saved, to better use.

Plus the money we would get from Mcnair will be a lot more than for Wing - and hopefully reinvested in overhauling the squad

Wing for me!

I can think of one or two I would have moved on ahead of Mcnair. He's a decent age and can play in a few positions.

I guess the issue is he seems to be 'a master or none' as in a bit of a jack of all trades. I guess he will he on a fair wedge so that will be taken into account. I hope we at least get money back? I would rather move Saville on.

If true then we have already moved on Flint and now Mcnair.... Two 'amazing' Pulis signings. Just leaves Saville. I doubt we would get half back what we paid so doubt he will go anywhere.

In terms of business it would seem to be better to have kept Paddy and let Howson's deal runout?

Afternoon, Erimus. One player I would look to get in is Jordan Rhodes. Liked him when he was with us before. I am sure Warnock could build his confidence and get him scoring again. I will get some pellets with this suggestion though!!
Liked him when he was here. But not now. Too one-paced and past 30 now.

Replacing the back for players and getting Patrick Roberts back has to be the priority.
Shotton--Ayala--Moukoudi--Friend
(all free transfers + Gibson's loan fee)

Next up we have the players we might need to move on for a bit of wriggle room..

Are we likely to be able to pay anywhere near the salaries of these players, if we can’t afford to pay Ayala £20k per week how are going to be able to pay some of these names above, joe hart probably won’t get out of bed for less than £40k per week

One thing that will absolutely determine who we sign is the overall salary.

McNair is a big earner and couple that with a decent transfer fee and you have a situation where its better value to move him on.

Do you think his diving was possibly down
to the fact non of his own players got near him to help out.
Or am I just trying to justify him😂👍🏻
I actually can't think of a more frustrating experience than having to partner either Britt or Fletcher. Or feed off the scraps of our dynamic midfield, so you may have a point.

It's an extreme view but is meant to show we are only a decent back four away from a comparative Championship side.
'The wiggle room' - will be taken from moving some players on. already we halved reduced the wage bill by a considerable amount. The wages of may not be that for out. Lots of folks on bumper wages.. moving a few on will allow for some room for some players on normal wages. Joe Hart might be a bit ott.. but you get the idea.

Fee + Wages
