1, Beat Norwich. Suffer heartbreak at the CBS arena on the final day. Finish 7th

2, Finish 6th. Heartbreak at the hands of Chrissy Wilder in the play off semi finals

3, Beat Chrissy Wilder then suffer heartbreak at the hands of the Mackems at Wembley.

4, Beat Chrissy then suffer heartbreak at the hands of Brizzle City at Wembley. Remember we always lose to Brizzle.

4, Beat Chrissy then suffer heartbreak at the hands of Frank Lampards Coventry City (copyright Sky TV.). Remember we always lose to Cov.

5, Win the bloody play offs!!! Hurrah!! Wembley jinx finally broken. Swiftly followed by 38 hammerings next season. Carrick sacked mid season and goes on to successfully manage in the Premier League for one of his former clubs he played for. Only high point of the season beating Derby County’s record low points tally of 11 points.

6, sack the last two games off and finish 11th.

Who wins? You decide…..

Oh and For the benefit of doubt, this post is largely tongue in cheek.

Stuff Norwich.. get em back for that heart-breaking playoff final defeat, stuff Coventry.. get em back for that semi final defeat.. stuff Wilder twice just like he stuffed us over twice as manager.. then stuff Sunderland at wembley... get Delano to hoist his shirt on the corner flag pole and plant it right in the centre spot ala Souness.. get that up yer!

THEN bring in a few more reinforcement where they are needed and and shock the premier league by going toe to toe with the best.. get that up yer!! SEVEN!!

Promotion even if it's 38 defeats, Steve Gibson deserves to have the financial pressure eased off him for a while. Everyone now knows that it is virtually impossible to compete up there so let's just take the money and settle back into the routine, there is no shame in relegation from that virtually closed shop.

Quick, heavy, painful defeats so I can achieve my wet dream of Carrick being sacked in public and then dragged through the streets, being pelted with rotten fruit. Then I can party for a week, crowing endlessly whilst celebrating my famous coronation as King of the internets.
The scary thing is if we fail to make the play offs there will be high 5s all round on here celebrating saying they were right all along.

I was going for 5 until you said we get hammered 38 times - zero points! Minus 120 GD! No thank you.
Then you gave us at least 12 points so all was good again. So definitely No. 5

That’s the worst of FMTTM isn’t it?

‘I told you so’ ….. posts will be dragged up for eons ago by posters wallowing in their own glory.

That will happen with finishing in the top 6, getting promotion or missing out

As per OP - promotion.
Personally not bothered but 000’s and 000’s will get so much joy albeit (maybe) for a short period of time.

I only picked this one as you correctly called it the Premier League, unlike most who still call it the premiership *winky being an ar$3hole smiley face*

7 Win five games in a row, spend well in the summer and cement a decent finish in PL next season. Just to annoy the "Carrick must go" prophets
Why do you think people who think Carrick should go would be annoyed by watching him turn it around? I for one would love us to succeed whether it be under Carrick or another manager and would gladly hold my hands up if Carrick went on and got us promoted this season or next.

Will you be annoyed if we replaced Carrick and the next guy comes in and does better?

I don't see anyone who was saying Carrick should go earlier in the year revelling in continuing to watch him struggle. I just see increased frustration.

Yes !! Four wins !!! 12 points!!!

Away at Old Trafford.
Home to the Geordies
And a double against Bournemouth.

And of course, a series of heroic 1-0 “park the bus backs to the wall” defeats at places like the Etihad, Emirates and Anfield.

I’m looking forward to it already.

My money is on him being the man to finally land Spurs a trophy. Until then…..
