Us older fans will wax lyrical about Maddren, Souness and Armstrong, but who would have been starters in a 2004-2006 Boro team?
Pears and Platt were top keepers IMHOAssuming they would be trained fit enough (big assumption)
Graeme Souness the first name on the teamsheet.
Maddren could partner Southgate.
I think Spike Armstrong pips Zenden or Downing.
Craig Johnston for me would get right mid.
It's hard to see John Craggs not getting the nod at right back.
Terry Cooper worth a look at left back, but might miss out.
Prime Murdoch would also get in, but he wasn't prime at Boro.
Boam, Platt, Mills, Hickton, Foggon, Hodgson, Proctor, Cochrane, Jankovic, Pears all well beaten IMHO.
Be quicker to list who wouldn't get in . I'll go Phil BoersmaUs older fans will wax lyrical about Maddren, Souness and Armstrong, but who would have been starters in a 2004-2006 Boro team?
No doubt, but Schwarzer was comfortably better than both for me.Pears and Platt were top keepers IMHO
Mowbray was the beast in the air for Pally and Bruce was his beast at Man U.I prefer one of my centre-halves to be a 'beast' in the air type, someone along the lines of a Gary Pallister
I'm sorry I've never got the Schwarzer love in , for a keeper his size he never dominated the penalty , his kicking was average at best .No doubt, but Schwarzer was comfortably better than both for me.

Pally was more the cultured player in a partnership.
I do get what you are saying about an aerially dominant player, but not sure Pally was really that. I'd still go Maddren and Southgate for the class.
All opinions though.
Probably get pelters for this but I preferred Crossley. Was very unfortunate to lose his place when Schwarzer returned from injury. Crossley was in a brilliant run of form and i recall a lot of boos from the North Stand when Schwarzers name was read out before kick off. I didn't agree with that but it showed just how impressive Crossley had been.I'm sorry I've never got the Schwarzer love in , for a keeper his size he never dominated the penalty , his kicking was average at best .
Also you could find at least 30 clangers he dropped during his time at the Boro
