Which crazy COB board characters will be sneaking their way onto here?

Looks like their board has had the plug pulled by the owner and cashed it’s chips in, so which of them lovely lot will find their way onto here for their fix? Most of them are regular lurkers on here anyway, as they tend to have a daily post on their site slagging us off...so welcome aboard guys, please keep the racism and bully-boy tactics to a minimum, and try not to lie about your love life and how much you earn a week and how much you have squirrelled away in shares 😉

The average IQ of this site is about to change!

Is it not just some sort of licence issue, I'm sure I recall the same thing happening a few months ago? I don't think Goldby really has his finger on the pulse of running the board, he just owns it, but that said, he does have other professional interests away from COB so maybe not really a priority for him

CoB and here reflect the different paths that football fandom took in the late 80’s, fanzines being set up to give clubs an alternative anti-establishment voice opposed to hooliganism and in many cases the right wing beliefs of many firm members, I think that divide has pretty much disappeared at matches but is still apparent in an online environment where anonymity can mask the more extreme views held by a minority on both sides.

I view forums as an online bar or club, where you can have a chat on a whole range of things, learn bits and bobs, pick up recommendations and discuss football and the club we all support, hopefully those that come across from CoB will enjoy the experience and add to the site with their input.

I’ve never been on there - is it that bad?
I was once accused on here of being the rifle character mentioned earlier in this thread - I don’t believe it was a compliment!

I openly post on both sites, I just tend to avoid threads that sail abit close to the wind and stay out of political discussions and arguments these days. People on both boards get way too worked up over it and it’s simply not worth it. Most people are set in their way of thinking and no amount of discussion, finger pointing or name calling will change that.

Still possible to have some decent chats/debates. Just need to take the time to read the other points of view.

I was guilty of that on the older board, I got to involved with certain posters name calling etc, something I have regretted, still see some over the top posts but thats life
Now I enjoy reading some posters views as they're some very educated folk on here who put across a well balanced view, I will at times say my piece but not as bad as before, its not worth it, sooner posts on the Boro than a political post
The odd time I browsed the COB certain posters gave me the impression that they were about 12 & just getting in to the phase when they've found how to swear & have an attitute & hate everyone that seem to be decent people

It's back up, for better or worse...

Let’s be honest there are people that love to be offended by anything. COB isn’t designed for those people especially the champagne socialist snowflakes that post on here 😉 I work in a industry where if I’m not called a **** at least once a week or had the **** taken out of me I’d probably be worried.
