Which club are the Boro most like?

Happy to be corrected if I'm wrong, but I've done some quick maths and I believe that of all the clubs who aren't currently in the Premier League, we're third on the list of most seasons spent in the Premier League, if that makes sense. Sunderland and Blackburn are above us, Fulham and Leeds not far behind. Since football began in 1992 :p we're comfortably in the top 20 sides in the country based on time spent in the top flight.

*edited because I initally forgot Sunderland, because I was only looking at the Championship...

Ive always thought of my club Boro as a unique club. Never compared to anyone else. I know this to be true because I have little interest in any other games. Ive only ever attended 4 non Boro games in over 50 years.
And it was never a good experience.

I kick every ball on a boro match. We are unique because Teesside and Teesside people are very unique. I choose to celebrate that.
You're right, it's unique, like every other club.

Back in Lennie Lawrences days at Boro we would compare ourselves in the fanzine to Norwich and aspire to be a Coventry. Funny how things change. One of Lennie's expressions was that football clubs eventually find their level. Looking at Norwich, Coventry and Boro's current struggles I wonder where our respective true levels are.

Every time you post on the board you are very cocky. Why is that ?
I’m sorry if the way I type on this football internet message board comes across as being cocky with rock and swagger, perhaps the don't give a damn attitude and never playing by the rules way of writing on this football internet message board is somewhat indicant of my real life persona. Girls want me, guys want to be me.. don't stand to close to the flame or you might get burnt..

or maybe you are just reading to much into things and you've got the wrong end of the stick?

The Boro are currently like the old Brambles Farm Hotel
Sunday Afternoon League Team.
Stroll out onto the pitch half - smashed, chuck up behind the goal and end up half a yard short, playing Eston an Normanby social Club Ladies netball team!
