Where the hell is Carrick?

This rudderless ship needs a manager.

I’m getting a little concerned that we are seeing and hearing nothing.

From his interview Percovich seems to have no idea what is happening.

All that there has been is press speculation.

Would it be the greatest surprise if we limped on to the World Cup break in this limbo?

That would would be 8 games without a manager, I think, and enough to seriously damage our season.

According to a sky reporter today its all been sorted with Carrick; just some tweaking needed with his backroom staff.
Shirley, get him in first and tweak the back room staff later. Unless it’s his back room staff we really want

I too thought that the delay might be to avoid undermining Percovich but now I'm starting to wonder. If Carrick still hasn't actually committed and wants to wait until his chosen lieutenants are in place then it's becoming a problem. We need a Manager right now. Rudderless ON the pitch and Rudderless off it.

IMO if he isn't at Hurworth with staff first thing on Monday morning we should tell him to do one and appoint someone who actually wants the job but isn't named Leo.

Carrick is currently on a beach in the Caribbean. He’s just about to tell some of his chums, he’s coming back to save MFC. Flight will be broadcast live on national TV.

Or Lee

It's a good job he wasn't there today he might have changed his mind about taking the job on.
Do you seriously think he wouldn't be watching the game, or at the very least be watching later in preparation to starting the job?

It's been widely reported that he is currently doing his due diligence on the team. Watching videos of the games, getting player stats and analysis etc etc.

Everyone needs to calm the frikk down. When everything is ready he'll be announced. If he started the role without the coaches he wants and we lost the first 2 games...people on here will be giving him pelters. Guy can't win. And he's not even started yet!
?

I said he wasn't at the game, maybe you can prove me wrong though ?

Let's assume that Carrick IS coming. And that he watched the game from afar yesterday. That would have told him almost everything he needs to address. And that in our current position that it needs a cure quickly. In Carrick's shoes, wouldn't you want to start working on it straight away before the situation gets worse? We need someone to be doing that from Monday, not sometime after the World Cup for instance. If Carrick isn't sure then we're better off without him and go elsewhere. With Leo, we'll continue to stumble along, picking up the odd result when we play one of the few teams who are more disorganised than us. Someone has to have a vision - of what we can be, and it needs to start before we're 5 or 6 points adrift at the bottom.

Damage has already been done and seriously too. No it wouldn’t be a great surprise and I have to admit I do find it odd that he hasn’t made an appearance given the signals that have been issued. Lack of communication always fuels rumour and speculation but the club did say Leo would be in charge until the Huddersfield game so let’s see what the next day or two brings.
