Whens the last time we scored a header from a corner?

I've been saying this for a while. We win a lot of corners but we rarely score from them. It's a big miss in our abilities for me. We need to sign a CB who is an attacking corner beast in the summer

Big lads get their runs blocked & marked out of contesting the ball at corners & freekicks... I've always thought we need to work on plays that target other players that can win headers against their markers - find space more easily - empty the central area ( setup level with front & back post ) so it can be attacked into..
 
Our defensive players don't score enough goals.
Fry and Lenihan should each be getting 3 or 4 a season, from corners and free kicks.
Full backs the same numbers really.
defensive midfielders - Howson and Hackney - should be chipping in with similar amounts
Thats 20 goals a season
 
Been saying this for a while.

Years ago, friend of my dads backed Southgate/Ugo anytime scorer at all home games and think he won a few quid over the course of the season but we rarely seem to score headers from set pieces now, maybe we need a set piece coach like alot of other clubs have? I'm sure Carrick is well aware of it and its something he'll look at in the summer whatever division we're in.

what you need is your biggish lads to provide a suitable block to give your big lad the space to get the run and momentum to be unstoppable. We don't do the blocks well.

Ideally one CB should be a 4-6 goal beast, the other should be looking at 2 goals. FBs 3 goals between them. CDMs 6-8 between them. Those should be the targets. A minimum of 15 goals from those 6 players, they've got about 2 I think.

It's nitpicking because we are playing superb, but to take us to that next level that's what we need. If we had a goal threat from corners we would have romped away with promotion, even after the poor start.
 
Our corners are bad and we don't have much aerial presence without Crooks. We should probably look into more corner routines, if you just gave Ramsey or Archer the ball and had them dribble directly at the box you might get an extra penna or two.
 
Remember when Pulis signed Flint based on his goal scoring ability rather than his defending. Except someone seemed to change his head into a 50p just before he signed his contract.
