Yes, it turned sour at the end, which I think he alluded to himself in his interview with Teesside Live.
He turned himself into Marmite man, that’s for sure.
Also, trying to create a new pub name “The Fighting Cox” didn’t help his cause after his altercation with Neil Cox before the Cup Final.
