When do you think fans will be allowed back into stadiums?

Do you think the prospect of the vaccine makes it anymore likely we'll be back this season?

If so will it be socially distanced? No away fans?

The thing that frustrates me about this is it’s less the actual seating but the congregating outside that causes the problem. A thirty odd thousand stadia could easily cater for A few thousand people sat an an acceptable social distance. The trick is to get them in and out of the ground keeping to social distancing rules - it could be done if people could follow rules.

If the infections start to drop and the vacinne is started to roll out from next month it could be February for the 25% crowds. We must be close to 20% infections (of UK adult population).

I can't see it this season. I genuinely thought we would have 4-5k in by now when last season eventually ended.

We are locked down until Dec 2nd. Then I imagine we will open up (in a fashion) for Xmas so shops can trade and we can see family's etc. Then no doubt lockdown again after New year because cases and R numbers are rising.

I really don't see what the 'end game' is until everyone has a working vacation. The general belief is that only 10% of the population will recieve it in the first year.... It hardly helps😒

I doubt getting fans into stadiums is anywhere near top of the governments priorities. A season with no fans will simply ruin clubs.

You'd think that infections will be still high in January and February as it's still very cold. As it warms up in March and April along with vaccines we'll see fans returning to sports events.

Hopefully in the spring, surely we are all grown up enough to assess whether it is safe or not to attend once the R rate gets below one?

No, the government scientists will get their magic calculator out and put graphs on the screen that will show for every 1 person attending a football match, 20 people will perish laid on a makeshift hospital bed in an ice rink.

The vaccination will not be rolled out to the entirety of the population until next season.

Think I could sort of accept no fans this season if they promised all fans could return as normal next summer for the beginning of the season. Interesting to what happens at the Euros aswell, because an international tournament without fans doesn’t sound great at all. Hope there is something sorted for that too.

Probably when some of the bigger clubs in English football start moaning and complaining. It's the only way things seem to change.

Might be after Christmas then as Man Utd have been whinging recently about losing £4m per game.

Sunderland could have a nigh on full house on account of the fact 99% of their fans are extremely low risk as they are given free tickets at Primary schools.

Unfortunately I agree with Corcaigh, I think it will be next season.
There seems to be zero willingness from our esteemed leaders for it to be any sooner than that.
(I would be delighted if I am proved wrong!)

Elite football?

2022.

Reason why? Lack of fans in the grounds isn't affecting Sky's profit margins. If anything you'd be privately hoping that the lack of fans on the ground would continue if you were an exec for Sky, people are still going to pay Sky Sports subscription fees.

Non league football? Can see fans been allowed back in in January.
