When’s the second wave?

I don't actually. I've explained before why this isn't like the common cold.
As an example. Chicken pox is also highly contagious for example and can also kill. Are we to just stay in self contained plastic bubbles for the rest of eternity?

No, as I have already pointed out. That, probably the 5th times you've accused me of wanting to shut everything of for good. It's also the fifth time I've had to tell you I don't

Not sure why you're not getting it. It seems you deal in extremes and hysterics and if I'm saying, for example, we shouldn't lick strangers noses you seem to take that as meaning I don't think we should ever be allowed out. You seem to struggle with nuance and shades of grey.

You want your life and others controlled but when news of a vaccine broke the other day you were shouting it down straight away. You are quite happy to live in this current totalitarian period until when?

Again you seem to be putting words into my mouth. I’m not sure whether you’re misunderstanding what I’m saying, ignoring what I’m saying or just making up things I’ve said so you can have an argument?

The real problem with this virus is the wide variety of people that are seriously effected and what mix of factors they possess, coupled with the variety of factors that also reduce risk. Age, weight, ethnicity, blood group, dna, personal behaviours, job, social interactions, balancing risk. etc.

Whats right for me isn’t for you. It is impossible to arrive at a situation where we are all happy. Vaccines and cure will go a long way to resolving it, but vaccines will last longer for some than others, the virus will always be around, it will evolve to survive as must treatments and vaccines change along side it. The world has to go on, economies must evolve with it as will our behaviours. If anyone hasn’t been touched in some way by this virus then i suspect views will differ to those that have. Just like those in the least at risk groups are more likely to shrug their shoulders and carry on as they always have and those with more to lose will be fearful.

Unfortunately the virus being invisable, the ability to host it, spread it and show no effects, coupled with the inability to know the risk that poses to individuals we may unwittingly interact with means we all have the potential to be silent killers and silent victims. One mans normality will be another mans selfishness. We all just need to be more understanding and respectful of each others behaviours if possible and not get hung up on our way being THE way

You didn't want people to go out, didn't want people to go the pubs or the shops, didn't want people to see others regardless of those people's mental states, don't want people to take a vaccine, didn't want schools open, didn't want the football season to start again. Slags the Tories off constantly yet admitted to voting for them at the last election. Every government response since this virus started floating about is partly your responsibility.

When people post articles about covid-19 and it's associated damages to health and economy if those articles aren't from a select group of sources chosen by yourself you deem them automatically rubbish.

Coming to an English apartment block near you soon.

At last they're taken this dreadful illness in the States seriously.

Almost everything you say in your first paragraph is incorrect. Even for this place, I've not seen such a spectacular lack of comprehension.

Well a second wave appears to be underway in parts of Spain. I would not want to be going on my hols there anytime soon given the stories today. I hope our Spanish dwelling lads on here keep safe and the areas where it is spiking manage to clamp down

Is that true? What's happening? It's very sudden if it is a second wave.

Yeah I'm sure the residents are ecstatic at been imprisoned for committing no crimes.

Nothing about Spain on sky news, Reuters, ITV news.
The only news of apparent second spikes in cases is on the BBC website and names Belgium, Israel, Iran, Australia, Japan and Hong Kong as countries facing it. The last two the virus must he spreading some other way due to mask use and track and tracing in that country. Maybes it's in the water supply now in those two countries.

I appreciate its the daily mail and its localised to be fair, but given its holiday season the sudden spike in daily cases is a worry

Spike in daily cases

The irony!!

I'm absolutely sure that they understand the reason for it, unlike you.
I tend to agree with strategies like those used in Sweden and Belarus. Strategies that won't cause more deaths than the virus. Strategies that won't put millions out of work and straight into poverty. Strategies that don't put kid's futures at risk due to lack of education provision.
I understand some people don't care about any of that though.

😉😏
