What's the chances of Boris resigning?

Not a chance he'll resign in my opinion. The bloke is a narcissistic psychopath. He was once again lying today at PMQ's. He's not sorry he probably still thinks he hasn't done anything wrong. A useless, incompetent bone idle bum who believes in his own exceptionalism.
Nicely put.

As one of the labour back benchers said in PMQs, he is not sorry for what he did, he is sorry that he was caught.
I do think he will be gone soon. There is obviously a leak within government that is sharing these emails and videos so somebody is conspiring to get him out. I think the more he hangs on, the more dirt will be dished.

I cant stand the lying, tory, entitled, eton posh tw.at

I think there's a greater chance than a few weeks ago, where I would have said almost impossible.

Johnson is inherently lazy and doesn't have an ideology as such - I think there is a chance he just thinks "can't be bothered" and steps down (albeit fairly small). Fully expect him to pop up on the other side of the Atlantic when he does.

I'd rather see him voted out than booted out by his own party. As I've said before, British people are finally starting to see who Johnson is. He's not some normal person doing a good job. He's a privileged man who has used his privilege and background to further his own interests exclusively. He's only the PM because he thought it would be good for him. The man is a puppet, a front man for others.

Interestingly in 45 minutes of PMQ today, he never once said he would not resign.
He just kept telling people to wait for the report.
I think he knows his time is up.
The line about waiting for the enquiry was to bat off his back benchers… he kept repeating it ad nauseum so it became the mantra… if he can get them to wait until that is concluded (although it will be a farce) he can cling on then we will all be talking about a new crisis…

Rather see him pop up in the Atlantic

He is finished, of that I am certain. It's all a matter of timing. The leaks are coming slowly and steadily and all from within, either directly from rivals, or indirectly from 'people who were close to the day to day operations at that time'. I think the question is when his internal rivals decide the time is right - too soon and it becomes difficult over the long term to blame everything on Johnson - you might end up carrying the can. Then there is always the question of whether a new leader needs a mandate (i.e. General Election) - would the Conservatives win a majority if a snap election with a new leader were held now? Would a new leader want to take that risk? However the longer they leave it, the more the Tory brand is damaged by association with Johnson, especially for long serving cabinet members, again this represents an electoral risk.

It is very messy and I suspect will get significantly worse for the government before it has a chance of getting better.

He will have to be dragged kicking and screaaming from No10. Point is though its a really bad time for anyone to throw their name in the hat for PMs job as the country and the tory party are in deep doodah.

This is awful timing for those who want to oust Boris Johnson.

As you say, the energy/cost of living crisis coupled with increases in NI and high inflation will really start to bite in the next 6 months or so which will be disastrous for Rishi Sunak.

The rest are absolutely useless and would be torn apart by infighting between those loyal to Johnson and the ERG. There's no unity candidate.

It's best for the Labour party that the Snivelling sh1t stays until the next election. Unfortunately, I don't believe the country can stand 2 more years of this.

The May local elections could well be his death knell. All things being equal, their results should be a catastrophe for the Tories.

Of course he won't resign. Being PM is the culmination of his lifes work up to now. He's not going to give that up easily.

And I think a lot of folk overestimate how quickly the party would force him out. Yes he's getting pelters, but he's the leader who got them the kind of majority they haven't had since the 80s. They'll be desperate for him to turn public opinion round.
Sadly that’s true of the majority of Tory mps. They are utter slime balls with no morals other than ‘we need to keep power’
