Never mind that, just tell them we'll look after him for the duration of his injury rehab and then just lie about whether or not he's fit yet. Reckon we could string that along for at least a couple of seasons...Convince Xabi that Florian Wirtz is still only a development prospect, should be nowhere near the first team and has naturally home in the NE of England to develop properly on loan, for five seasons.
He might still be trying to get revenge on Boro for cheating him out of a Cup medal when he was playing.Sean Dyche - he knows how to win in this League on a limited budget
We need to get better whilst constantly reducing cost and at the same time increasing the value of the squad.. and keeping that process entertaining! It’s all luck at the end of the day, even with a long term strategy that Brentford had. The right recruitment, selling at the right time, scouting, injuries, one bad managerial appointed can knock you back years, throwing the kitchen sink at promotion.
The odds are loaded against most teams in this division. Of the clubs that come down there are likely to be 2 going back up most seasons, six teams may be looking simply to survive whilst the remainder are gambling on being that one club in 16 to win promotion. Look how many clubs are in financial difficulties having tried for promotion, or been relegated, how many have spent years out of the top flight or when the chance comes they can’t stick up there and become a yo-yo club or worse.
There‘s no guarantee of any form of success regardless of the appointment. So many moving parts and so many things have to come together, and when you don’t have a strategy and lurch from one style/recruitment policy/strategy/manager to another over a number of years then it’s simply rolling the dice continually.
What the club needs to do is set out the strategy, articulate roles and responsibilities, be clear on what the Academy is there for (and use it), and keep the fans updated. It’s not rocket science, it’s basic and might, might just get people onside s litter bit more rather than relying on blind faith.
Maybe that’s what he sent his pal here to do!He might still be trying to get revenge on Boro for cheating him out of a Cup medal when he was playing.
I would love a hot cup of sausages right now.. I feel a few months of sobbing is on the cards.Me? I'd probably make myself a nice hot cup of sausages and gently sob for a few months.
Constantly changing plans?Agreed, you don’t do that by continually changing plans though - otherwise you end in a mess like we are atm.
Yes! I was actually thinking of the German word Schweinebecher. We're not Middlesbrough on Rhine though, so I don't want to get in trouble.I would love a hot cup of sausages right now.. I feel a few months of sobbing is on the cards.
Do we have a catch name for sausages in a cup? Something that the area can finally be proud of?
SOSMUGS?
Sosmug wiv onion gravy and horse radish pleaeeeese mayte!!
It is most certainly tomorrow for any future manager. 7th last season suggest we haven’t been struggling season on season. Yes we are in a worse league position than last season., hence the opportunity for a new manager.Always tomorrow isn’t it? We are in a relegation flight - last season is completely irrelevant. So no point harping on about that! We are worse off and as a club going backwards. That’s the reality at present
Are they Shalamar lyricsWhat would you do........
................. if your son was at home
Crying all alone on the bedroom floor
‘Cause he’s hungry?
And the only way to feed him is to
Sleep with a man for a little bit of money
And his daddy’s gone
Somewhere smokin’ rock now, in and out of lockdown
I ain’t got a job now
So for you this is just a good time, but for me this is what I call life
Mmm
Schweinebecher’s are NOTHING like ‘Sosmugs’Yes! I was actually thinking of the German word Schweinebecher. We're not Middlesbrough on Rhine though, so I don't want to get in trouble.
We were alright last year..Exactly that. Style to style, money to no money, no consistency in recruitment, therefore a lurch from one to the other, we then decide on a DoF model but bring in a manager who clearly didn’t want to work in that model…..it’s been a complete clusterfuck for years, there hasn’t been a plan.
