What is your favourite vegetable?

Love them Sheriff but is it me alone thinking they don't taste as good as years ago.
Funny you should mention that, I googled it a few weeks ago after having the same thought. Dunno how old you are but my age fits the bracket of losing taste in your forties and it only gets worse....doh!

Red onion..... Stick them in everything from sandwiches to Stir frys etc. A close second for Spring Onions👍

Carrots and Leeks are a must with a Roast.

Red, yellow or orange peppers - can be added to loads of dishes and always taste great.

Edit - turns out peppers are fruit, who knew? Parsnip it'll have to be then.

To keep things interesting we will exclude potatoes for now.

Got to be in the mood for it, and then it's always black.

Do you?

No. But if you like broccoli you have to drink a lot more coffee to get the same hit.

Children don’t like broccoli because it is bitter. This is usually a sign of toxicity. The chemical in broccoli evolved as a toxin actually stimulates humans to like it. It only produces these toxins when bitten into or broken ie as soon as there is cellular damage, to ward things off. It has the opposite effect in us. We ramp up detoxification enzymes. If you eat more broccoli you have to drink more coffee to get the same caffeine kick. Broccoli is a cabbage mutant. The toxin in broccoli is also toxic to broccoli, hence it only produces it when broken, then two chemicals mix. Garlic is similar, hence 40 whole cloves of garlic don’t taste as garlicky as one broken clove.

I learned from the chase tonight that you expend more calories to digest cucumber than you get from eating it.

I conclude form that if I lived on cucumber I could lose even more weight than Adele or even disappear up my own ar$eole
