What irks you about modern society?

LITTER. It's everywhere.
We have succeeded with drink driving and cigarettes both are now seen as anti social. Virtually everybody sees them as wrong even those people who still do one or both of them.
So now is the time to have a concerted attack on this vile act. Surely most people are of the same opinion. It grates me to here people saying after their holidays "It was a lovely place it was so clean"
Action has to come from the top nothing else will get enough people motivated to the cause.....

So it's over to you Mr Rashford.
I'm 100% with you there, I HATE littering. Can't even drive anywhere round here (North Yorkshire Moors) without seeing either empty beer cans, cans of Red Bull, Lucozade bottles or Maccies bags lobbed in the verge. Disgusting. It's the fact that a) they don't care and b) they think it's a cool and impressive thing to do. Abhorrent attitude that needs to change.

If people are caught chucking so much as a sweet wrapper on the floor, they should be made to litter-pick in their community for the following seven days. There needs to be a much stronger deterrent as so many people obviously think it's a perfectly acceptable thing to do. Really riles me how people would rather make a mess of the countryside rather than respect it and just keep their f***ing rubbish in the car till they get home.

Nothing. If we get through this pandemic and have something out the other end that feels like the previous 'normal', I'll never complain about anything again.

Saddens me, the whole thing. Imagine going into a boozer now with your mates (legally) and not having to worry about all this sh1t?

Confrontation doesn't work Scoobs. Even picking it up and handing it back to them saying Excuse me I think you've dropped something can get you a mouthful of abuse.
Education and a Nationwide continuous campaign is needed. Perhaps eventually kids would start telling their parents not to drop litter

Under 20's who think its their god given right to have everything top of the range before they can afford it. Driving Mercs and Range Rovers on finance, flash watches on Tick (pun intended), looking at getting on the property ladder but starting their search in the £200 grand range. All on apprentice salaries. No problem though as bank of mam and dad will take on the finance when they get sacked for failing a drugs test at work.

The dilution of the English language, especially in written form. IDK, CUL8R, K,
They've shortened OK to just K!!! WTAF!!!! (i'm being ironic!)

Vanity - the emergence of social media! I'm sick of seeing lads and lasses pouting and posing!

Fast food - the emergence of delivery made it easy to incorporate it into our day to day diet.

Universities as a money making scams - saddling young people with huge debt - in return they get meaningless degrees.

Litter - it might be my imagination but it does seem a lot worse than it ever was. Being out on the bike you notice it a lot more - fly tipping has become a major issue in the countryside!

Mobile phones - people glued to them even when walking

The problem is.... Debt makes them very rich (the companies), so that type of lifestyle is 'encouraged'

@rseholes in cars, who keep their foot on the brake pedal blinding u and people who don't indicate, I could go on... People who litter, and say they are taking jobs off people who clean it up so why pick it up. People who wreck things for the sake of it. Lasses having kids and blatantly will tell you, it's to get a house and why should they work. (the so called fathers are just kids as well, and think it's cool to have them) I'm leaving this here, as I can think of a lot more things. And I seem to be getting angry.
Yes people by cars with all mods & cons, engine turns off at traffic lights etc then sit with their foot on the brake, that alone should be an instant fine, even points, total stupidity

Forgot one - Weddings! Particularly weddings at 'Posh Estates' in the country

If you are both from Stockton-on-Tees (including each side of the family) - don't be tw*ts and make everyone travel 100 miles to the wedding venue..... and then within a year get divorced

Feels like this is something that has happened to you....
