What haven't you had since lockdown?

Golf for me too. Just managed to get into single figures, but it’ll probably take weeks to get to that again. I’m selfishly doing tiny prayers that the next relaxations will include golf. It’s very beneficial to my mental health, I know that acutely.

A sandwich. I was out doing the food shopping earlier and I nearly bought one. I usually had 2 ou 3 per week during lunch breaks. Now it's home cooked meals.

I haven’t worn a pair of long trousers or jeans since lockdown started, have been in shorts during the day and pyjamas on an evening.

Any phone calls from work. Bedtime athletics. A meal in my fave haunts. Guilt. And I'm ok for coffee as I invested in an amazing thing before lockdown: a De Longhi bean to cup machine. Feckin amazing. Better than cafe coffee.

I can get wine and mixers as we have gin, the son got whisky from Amazon.. We are managing to eat near normally using collect or delivered food, not everything we'd normally get but that is not an issue.

I've trimmed the hair of those who braved it with clippers & proper hair scissors, and I will say it looks damn good - they might not!

I do miss going out to a random place when I feel like it - on a whim as it takes me - shops, parks, restaurants, even picking up some take-out food on a whim when we've had a bit of a day and just want an easy evening.

I think the other thing I've missed (not had) is the anticipation of events, football, gigs etc, and lastly holidays - either booking them or preparing to depart - it sets the expectations and gives you a lift when there's bookings made to look forward to. My diary is wiped now but at least I have one, not like the poor souls we've lost.

Well, one of the local indie coffee shops opened for take out coffee at the end of this week.
Me and the missus have just been out and bought a couple of cappachoochoos and sat on a bench to drink them. Lovely

Sadly, had no change for the homeless man - who then turned his nose up when offered a piece of vegan pumpkin cake we had bought to accompany said cappo

Still no hug off my daughter, but getting closer

For those who like their coffee (and I don't) my wife like a drink of same but my son is something of a connoisseur. Has some fancy but simple Japanese glass thing that allows the coffee (blah, blah, zzzzz)
Anyway he is a fan of two brands that he thinks are very good and came across them during the lockdown.

One is from the House of Marley - yes the family of the man himself, and is called "Buffalo Soldier"

The other is - well it's a few different roasts from a local outfit (based out of Middleton In Teesdale)
Their selection is pretty wide and according to the boy, some of the best he has had in a fair while
If you want to try their stuff / support a local business they are on the website below.
BTW - I have zero affiliation with said company!
