What has Uche done wrong ?

Every time I've seen him I've been impressed.
Offers something different and is a presence at both ends of the pitch. I would have liked the option to bring him on last night.
The 4 strikers we have are all similar types.
I know we have Coburn but would have thought Uche would be one to keep for the run in...
Probs end up at Millwall...

We could have done with him last night. Sporar and Connelly got tossed all over the place.
Think that was more due to the service they received

I doubt Wilder picked two quick, 5’10 strikers with the idea that the midfield would continually lump balls up to them at head height

TBH I don't think he is good enough. That said I don't think Coburn is ready for first team. Should have went out on loan.

The service, like against Reading, was down to their poor positional play, far too easy to mark.

As for Uche, he needs to sort himself out. A footballer who can't last more than an hour is no good if you're serious about challenging for the play offs.

I don't think he's donme anything wrong, he's just not particularly mobile and obviously doesn't fit in with Wilder's style of play.

All about opinions i know but I dont get why people think he's not good enough, his attitude is 1st class, he battles, holds up the ball really well & a constant threat in the opposing penalty box

If you only have one way of playing you get sussed out. Didn't matter how mobile Sporar and Connelly were last night, they couldn't hold on to the ball or bring others into play...

Yes but that was largely due to them not performing rather than style of play. Wilder would more likely change like for like (e.g. Watmore for Connelly) you would expect rather than bringing someone on like Uche.

You mean like Watmore ??
Double standards....

This is what we keep hearing, he doesn't fit Wilders style of play. However, Wilders plan B is clearly to just throw everything at the opposition, and there's obviously no problem with that. However in these instances, such as last night, it would make far more sense for me to throw big Uche up top and get amongst the tiring defenders, and hopefully create space and chances for the other attackers. If they don't take these chances thats their issues.

Last night I just thought with all four strikers being quite similar players ( I haven't included Coburn), these just seemed to get in each others way. I for one would keep him and loan Coburn out.

Although he's throwing everyone on, he did say against Reading he was pleased that we were patient and delivered the right ball at the right time, so i don't think he's looking at lumping it up to anyone.
Although the 4 strikers worked on saturday i'm not a fan. Like you say they get in eachothers way and you lose abit of shape.
