BM - Didn't the Housemartins become Beautiful South? - it looks like two different bands on your list.

I always associated Fine Young Cannibals with Manchester - not sure why.

Megson are a husband and wife folk duo from Teesside - they did a Riverside football song called "longshot" They live in Hitchin now as its a better base for Folk music

David Coverdale from Whitesnake was from Stokesley I believe.

Isn't there a World famous opera singer from Normanby - she sang at the last match at Ayresome Park. Sorry don't know her name.

Coverdale is from Saltburn.
