What crisps are the spiciest

I once posting this issue in one of the 'things that annoy you' threads. The amount of foods that are labeled 'hot' with 4-5 chilli stars and not remotely warm.

Another shout out for walkers max (the buffalo chicken wing or cheese ones especially). I can manage these with a few cans and definitely spicy enough. I stick Chilli's in everything from stir fries to salads so think I'm pretty good with the spice.

I recently tried the Doritos flaming hot tangy cheese and I couldn't manage them. It probably the first time a 'hot' crisp has done me. I had 5-6 and just didn't enjoy them due to the heat.

I remember going to Thailand and asking to make my noodles more spicy. Trust me don't ever get that confident 😂
I ordered some spicy glass noodle dish in Phuket once and the girls who worked there all congregated, chuckling to each other as they waited for me to eat it. I can see why they did. I was in a bad place. Ears were crying

Colonel Gadhafi once said that watching football was akin to watching people eat in a restaurant.

He's talking nonsense of course, who would want to watch people eat?

But then again, for sheer drama of the spectacle, sometimes it's actually quite compelling

Giving birth to the sun haha

Maxx Strong are great as mentioned and definitely pack a punch! Those Doritos are pretty hot, definitely a step up but still manageable and enjoyable for me.

I have five reaper dried chilli's at home and a bottle of Reaper Sauce, I use ghost chilli as my everyday sauce and the reaper if I'm feeling brave so perhaps my tolerance is higher. Literally throw Chilli sauce on a lot of things, love the stuff.

I've not got to reaper level yet (apart from the encona one), The hottest I've got is a Naga hot sauce and it certainly burns. My standard level which goes on everything is Habanero. Hot enough to give a good kick without ruining me.

I've got a pepper mash in the fridge from last years chillies which I grew with Red + Choc Habs, Thai Chillies and some Aji Lemon Drop, been meaning to give a habanero sriracha recipe a go, I should probably do it this weekend actually.

That sounds amazing that mash like. I ordered the reapers from the USA Pucker Butt Pepper Company, not going to lie - I was a little bit too liberal with the sauce in between Xmas and New Year and ended up in a hell of a state, followed by a chilli high! First time that had happened

Haha There's an alternative to put on the Xmas ham instead of picallillee, actually you've given me an idea there. I've only had that happen to me once, first time I ever had naga's and I put two whole ones in a curry oblivious to how much hotter than scotch bonnets they were. Ended up rocking in a chair for a about 20 minutes. Felt great afterwards, not so much the next day.

Not sure if spicy is the right word but brannigans beef and mustard has got a genuine sting in the tail.

Brannigans crisps are criminally underrated and undersold.
Underrated, undersold and under the daisies. They are no longer. They have ceased to be. They are an ex crisp.

Brannigans as a brand were discontinued by their manufacturers KP Foods last year. The last of their stock has gone. You will see them no more.

These ones

I realise I may be too late having been out of the country when this thread was going but has anyone seen the Seabrooks scorpion chili crisps around? I think they may be discontinued but sometimes a few places have stock for a while and I fancied trying some decent heat whilst I’m home for a bit!

Max Strong Jalapeno and Cheese are quite hot and you can get 150gm bag for £1 if you look around.

I tried them, very tasty and nice heat - cheers 👍🏻 I tried several of the recommendations in this thread but scorpion ones have eluded me so far!

I am fully with you on this. The amount of crisps / nuts and snacks in general that are advertised as 'hot' only to be mildly warm is shocking.

Don't say a crisp is habinaro chilli flavour. Then not be hot. Eat a habinaro chill and you'll know😂

I can handle most hot things. I would say that the doritos flaming hot chilli cheese 'genuinely' made tap out. So hats off to them👏

Today I found an alternative to the Roast beef and Mustard

Tesco's Finest Roast Beef and Horseradish

They are outstanding and if you miss Brannigans then this is a worthy replacement

Just tried these and was not expecting the result, the missus bought them. These pack a proper kick, probably on par with maxx strong Jalapeño and Cheddar, tremendous stuff.063A92F9-DC12-4376-B464-80BDB302F944.jpeg
