What are we all reading right now?

Absolutely loved that Mark Lanegan autobiography - he's had one hell of a life. The Farther Corner up for me next but currently working through Brave New World, only just started but an interesting concept so far.

Stoner by John Williams. About a farmer's boy who goes to the University of Missouri just before WW1 to study Agriculture. He switches to English Literature and later becomes a teacher at the same institute.

Praetorian

It’s from the eagles of the empire series. Think there’s about a dozen books in the series, it’s fictional stories based on real Roman history. It features a lot of locations and places near me in Kent. They found a lot of Roman items in the area surrounding the village where my son lives. I have a Roman fibula, always been fascinated by the Romans.

Mortimer & Whitehouse - Gone Fishing.
Nowhere near as enjoyable as the TV genius.
The programme is totally absorbing; the book has a little too much detail about the actual fishing for my liking from Paul.
I love both Bob and Paul and think they are outstanding together. Just not that into fishing.

Obsessive Compulsive Cycling Disorder - a collection of published articles about (Guess what) - Cycling! Entertaining and good!

Reality is Plastic - a book about Hypnosis

The Puppet Show by M.W Craven.

It was the winner of the 2019 Gold Dagger Award. It's about a serial killer based in the Lake District. Not normally my genre of book, but it's a good read.

A Thousand Ships by Natalie Haynes and The City and The City by China Miéville. I think Ben Goldacre's just moved onto my next to read list. I've always really enjoyed him.
