All the 'meek and mild' branding she's worked at for so long is about to come crashing down around her. Treating her grandson like this purely for wanting a slightly more normal life than his brother and dead mother had, and marrying an 'uncouth' American actress who doesn't lick their boots. That's if he even is her grandson which he very well might not be.

Meanwhile, her sex-pest/trafficking real son appears to have been totally forgiven for his sins. Shame on her.
 
I care to a degree, to be honest. And you obviously care enough to open the thread and reply. The obsequious attitude towards this bunch of cronies in this country is detrimental to us all, imho.
 
They are british royals paid for by the british tax payer how the hell can they live outside the uk I’m no monarchist but she entirely right.

Imagine having everything given to you by a country and then turning your back on it.

they want to be “normal” and yet they still want to use the royal title at will fit a country they don’t even live in err ok so not normal then they want both worlds.

Btw how is talking to billionaires in Florida normal btw.
 
If you want to see how you can be a senior royal and still be normal look at Zara Phillips (not title) and her husband the rugby bloke ( again no title) and and Anne is the queen’s oldest child.

Imagine they'd been born into normal lives in the first place, maybe they wouldn't be totally dependent on the British taxpayer, is that Harry's fault? Did he ask for all of this?

Regardless of what you think is right by the taxpayer, she seems happy for her own grandson (is he, though?) to have to go through hell just like his mother, with zero help from her at all.

On the contrary; what a vindictive, ungrateful, spoilt brat her grandson is, along with manipulative Meg. The Queen was extremely kind to and supportive of Harry and William after their mother was killed and he repays his 93 year old and (let’s be honest) ailing grandmother, who doesn’t have that long to live, by Communicating with her through Press statements saying that the Queen doesn’t have a monopoly on the word “Royal“: Well,of course she doesn’t but that is not what the Queen was objecting to, she was objecting to what is very obviously a cynical attempt to flog crappy tat with “Royal Sussex” printed on it. This was obviously a huge blow to Meg’s and Harry’s business plan to milk Britain’s royal heritage for their own financial gain.

They don’t want to undertake any Royal duties but they do want to exploit their titles as HRH and the Royal Sussex name so they can flog tat like Royal Sussex pens, umbrellas, mugs and t shirts.

if they keep this up they may just find that the Firm might dissolve the Duchy of Sussex and take their HRH titles off them completely; then they will be just ordinary Harry and Meghan and their sycophantic showbiz chums will drop them like a hot brick.

and then Meghan will drop Harry like a hot brick, too.
 
I do see your point atypical, especially when the likes of Beatrice and Eugenie are allowed to work and do their own thing and use their princess titles. Harry will always be Prince Harry I guess, the Sussex titles were presumably gifted for use on royal duties following his marriage. Whilst I don’t know, I have assumed it is all to do with the public funding and their wish not to undertake duties on behalf of the Queen, so will also not be able to use their Sussex titles officially.

I guess its just protocol rather than anything else though. Although it is probably also to stop Meghan profiting from the Royals ‘brand’ without representing them officially, which imho is fair enough i suppose.

She's nowhere near as high profile. Harry didn't ask for all of this, he just happens to be the 'son' of the heir apparent. Zara Phillips is not.

Lol, how big of her! It was her institution and the pantomime surrounding it that killed her. How nice of her to be supportive to them when their mother was killed. That's once she'd had her arm twisted enough to commit the enormous act of breaking protocol and flying a F***ing flag at half-mast out of respect.

Hardly a surprise Harry has turned out like this. These kids are never given a chance in life. God help his own kids. If she had a decent bone in her body she'd end the whole thing before she croaks and not bestow it on anyone else.

you do realise they copyrighted the royal title just before they decided to leave.

Would you treat your grandkids like this then Zorro? - in the Queen and Philips' shoes? Old enough to take responsibility and all that? You create a monster and then just leave it to rot?

Btw this is wrong as well as it’s historically inaccurate as she was born into a world where she was never going to be monarch so unlike Charles William etc hers was never going to be monarch. Abdication changed this and thrust her father into monarch.

so she never moulded anything in fact she opened up and largely changed the face of how the monarchy acts.

What a mess this has become. At the end of the day it is about a couple wanting to live their life on their own terms FFS. Regardless of your stance on the Royals, this is two human beings we are talking about here. No amount of tradition, protocol or tax-payers money is worth subjecting someone to a life of misery, however privileged it might appear to those looking in.

I'm neither for or against scrapping the monarchy, but this farce would definitely move me towards ending it if it ever came to a vote.
