What a joke Eddie Hearn is

You don’t know what they are yet

I know I don't, my point is that I do not care about undercard fights.
Any of them.
So I don't count them as part of the value for extortionate PPV fights.

But I'm not really a boxing fan, I just watch the heavyweight title fights if there's British boxers involved.

Well there’s a shock.

so you have no problem with the biggest fight in boxing between two British fighters being held in a country with zero sports heritage even worse human rights records where women are banned from attending and where British fans won’t be able to go.

ok then I guess we have a different moral compass.

it’s called sports washing for a reason
The human rights issue is a fair point, completely wrong that Saudi has the F1 this year plus the biggest fight in 20 years. Same as Qatar having similar human right issues but being allowed to host the worlds biggest sporting event. Sadly its the way that sport is that money takes precedent over any of this.

Just because they are British doesnt mean it has to be held in the UK though. The US has been the home of major boxing events for a long time so it was to be expected that the fight wouldnt be in the UK anyway, boxing is a global sport at this level so it has to be expected

At the end of the day they are in it for money over anything else, so its no surprise they will go to the highest bidder

Don’t buy it then. It’s pretty easy.

I know. You’re saying you wouldn’t dare pay an unknown amount of money for a product you don’t know because you’d rather go to the pub because you’re not interested in an undercard you know nothing about. Maybe you just want to go to the pub 👍

Well what a surprise the fight of the century is to be held in that boxing hot bed Saudi Arabia.

What an insult to the sport and the fans this is.
Why you blaming Eddie ? You won’t host a full house in Wembley this year. And if the fight doesn’t get made you still blaming Eddie..

As much as I would love the fight to be in Wembley it’s up to fighters.

No, I'm going to watch it in a pub because I would not pay £40 to watch a boxing match on TV at home, and the undercard fights aren't of interest to me.

I'm very interested in watching the Fury v Joshua fight, as I'm sure hundreds of thousands are, and I'm sure many thousands will also be watching it in the pubs.

Do pubs have a license for sky box office ? And if they do they will be charging on the door for it

I suppose if i was going to get punched in the head for a living then i'd want to make as much money as possible and would probably fight anywhere in the world to earn it.

Having said that, Saudi Arabia doesn't strike me as very brand AJ.
Doesn't matter really.

Fury will knock him out before the end of round 6. I'll definitely be watching, never understood the Joshua hype.

The problem is there is a tipping point and anything north of £30 will have people saying they'll go to pub instead, or much more likely to get loads of mates together at one house so the number of PPV sales fall. I'd be amazed if it cost more than £29.99.
Depends on the time, wouldn’t be shocked if it’s still a 4am start for us to suit the American tv schedules. If it is your only option is paying the money for it, or risking a stream you will likely loose through the fight. Would expect it’s going to be £30 which will then allow any PPV to be the same price in the future.

Already pay around £80 a month for sky, bt, Amazon, Netflix etc so it feels like a rip off having to pay to watch anything else. But as a casual boxing fan it’s certainly something I don’t want to miss, sure it will make record numbers no matter what they charge

Just people on here speculating. Nobody knows until the fight is announced.
Yep just me speculating, but if you look at the recent Chisora v Parker fight. That was priced at £19.95, so it's a fair assumption not think Hearn will hike the price for Joshua v Fury.

I’m not a massive boxing fan but this is one of the fights all fans of sport will probably want to watch. Bit like Tyson v Bruno all those years ago 🤣

Anyway, I’ll be on the Gypsy King. He’s looking in great shape already!

19.95 is the standard PPV the previous Saudi fight was 24.95, my guess is this one will be the same or more likely 29.99. So i think you are right it will increase, all I’m saying is quotes on here of £40 or more are well side of the mark.

It was me who speculates 40 too!
