Well we now know McGree’s position

How do we utilise him in the team though? Seeing as we are in the market for 2 strikers? Could we play him as a 10 behind two strikers with 2 defensive minded midfielders?

I'm going to be contrary. I thought he definitely showed what he is capable of but he also showed why he shouldn't play that far forward. His finish when he had a clear sight of goal was dreadful, he didn't seem to know how/when to make runs in behind and positioning when balls were put into the box was poor. All the good stuff he did today was as an attacking midfielder rather than as a striker.

I still think he could be really good in a 3 and I know we don't play it but if we played with 2 holding midfielders and one advanced then he'd be great as the more advanced of the 3 behind 2 strikers.

An attacker being 'oustanding' whilst not scoring a goal.

Blows. My. Mind.

He's a rich man's George Saville.

Thought he was great also, strung so much together. Nice option to have.

Think I'd prefer two strikers over a ten and a striker most weeks though.

He's a very good footballer but just a bit too weak at the moment to rely on him in centre mid. I do think he will grow into that role eventually though, he hasn't really been in English football that long, probably still adapting to it in some ways.

The difference was he was playing all over the park, whereas as a midfielder he's a lot more regimented as the left side of the three.
