Well There We Have It, The Easy 'Oven Ready Deal' that Never Was...

I think it's pointless trying to berate anyone who voted for Brexit or Tory at this point.
My hope is that all those who are not so dyed in the wool will be honest enough to admit that they've been had and will make sure that this government are voted out of power for a generation so that we have a chance of rescuing something from this pre-planned heist by the rich.

What an unholy mess. He is biggest con artist in the history of UK overnment he has got nothing right since he was elected. And should we be surprised, not really if you ever took the time to consider his track record.
He is on borrowed time as is his government. His Brexit calamity will be the final nail in his political career thankfully, but at what cost to the nation. Destructive fùçķwít -pack your bags and do one.

Far more generous than I can be.

So many people, for so long, tried to point out to Brexit voters that it’s all just a con and they are being strung along with the promise[fantasy] that they are taking back control and will benefit from this, when all along the plan is to leave with no deal so Mogg, Odey and chums get even richer, and they are going to take away our opportunities and erode our standards of living in order to do so.
And then those people have been shouted at - ‘stop calling me thick! I’ll show you, and further more I’ll vote Tory against my best interests to do so!’

I feel sorry for everyone, the brexiteers who have been completely done up like a kipper and the ones who saw the bigger picture and tried to help, but just became the ‘remoaner’ baddies in all this.
I don't feel sorry for Odey though :). And he'll be doing porridge soon anyway.

All the arguing I’ve done on here and elsewhere and now that it’s actually happening there is no vindication, just contempt, pity and dread. The quoted post here still demonstrates a fundamental lack of understanding. Defending your vote for Brexit and then suggesting that there ever was a deal or that the unicorns promised were ever capable of being delivered is just another symptom of the disease that got us here. This was inevitable. From day one. We all told you over and over again. It was dismissed as Project Fear. And yet here we are: ****ed.

This is another fundamental argument of remain voters. Leave voters are thick, all fell for the rhetoric. It just isn't the case, go look at my post history. There is not one thing in there that says I fell for the 350m bus, the sovereignty nonsense etc. I sensed an opportunity for improvement for Britain after 6 years of Tory nonsense, do I know what the opportunity entailed. Of course not, I wanted our representatives to be smart and work for us. That hasn't happened.

In terms of defence, what will satiate people on here? What do I have to say to appease you all. I frankly had no desire to leave or remain, we shouldn't have ever been given the choice, but we were and I voted. People saying that the EU is the better option, you won't find me disagreeing, but to say that was always the only choice is nonsense. If we'd got Brexit right, it could have been great for this nation. As it was, a wave of populism and nationalism ruined any chance for progress, and we are where we are. I'll accept those consequences, even if its not what I wanted.

The defence rests.

The defence rests having made the case for the prosecution.

He's taking about the UK government if he agrees with the content of his link.

I know. I’m saying I don’t agree that this is brinksmanship on our part. I think this has always been the end game.

I completely agree that they are **** at it.

If we leave with no deal and straight into WTO only we're not trading the same way as Australia do with Europe. Australia have a Trading Framework agreement in place. So in fact (surprise surprise) BoJo is lying by saying we'd have an "Australia deal"

I really hope you're wrong, but it wouldn't surprise me and, of course they'll blame the EU.
