We suffered our 1st FAC defeat under big Jack

This day the 26th January 1974 when losing 1-0 to our next manager to be John Neals Wrexham in the 4th round

Big Jack fielded a very strong team against lower league opposition & suffering our 1st defeat since losing to Stoke in the league Cup back in November, which was at home

Jack Charlton had still to face defeat as an away manager, he wasn't too happy after this loss

Do Remember that one. We stood on the side watching us succumb on a muddy pitch. Dave Smallman! When we lost there in 1999 Smallman was the guest of honour on the pitch in the game that was the first and only time in my life time that we went out of the FA Cup before Christmas!
