We started badly last season and we turned it round...

I'm sick of hearing about how last year we started badly and we turned it round. This is not the same. This is a much bigger problem. This time last season we already had 6 points, had scored more goals and conceded less. We had played better but been unlucky in some games.

We also had to change the manager to get some real change which I think most people are agreed, that isn't the answer this time.

We also discovered a revitalised Akpom and young star Hackney from within the squad. They were two diamonds within the squad that felt like new signings in the October. Its very unlikely we are going to strike gold like that again this season.

We need to be honest about the situation we are in. We've got some tough games coming up and we are in deep sh1t. We need to win our next 3 on the bounce just to catch up to where we were last season. Just rolling along thinking it's going to just turn round is madness. We need to find some major change somewhere.

The major changes are currently rotating much of a muchness players about, hopefully stumbling on a formation that works.

We have too many players struggling to adapt to the pace/intensity of the Championship....and being harsh possibly just bang average.

Formation doesn't work, we're an easy soft team to play against. Where we go, how do we move forward - 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

That side yesterday reeked of desperation as surely he just needs to pick his best 11 and play them and keep faith with them week in week out until it clicks as they aren’t going to get any better sat on the bench.

He doesn't know his first XI. Too many average players doing the same thing. Repeat.

Unfortunately I think Carrick is overthinking things.....and getting it wrong.

☹️
