We should definitely have a single match thread in future

Btw the wtf thread was a genuine thread as I clearly had no idea why the goal was ruled out at first as the sky commentator made no reference to it. As it first it looked they had ruled it out for not crossing the line.

Somebody could always ask Rob or Borolad to pin a "Middlesbrough v Luton Town - Match Day Thread" today?
Get the ball rolling.

Yeah, deffo should have a match thread sticky for the days before and after the game, and maybe, if admin has time, delete the 9 threads that pop up at the same time, all saying 2-2, FFS or "we're shyte".

I wouldn't want the admins job mind, as they will want to watch the game like most of us. But we could just stop new threads from 3pm to 6pm on a Saturday?

It always worked well having match threads on the other forums I've used.

I know that some people on here do not like sticky threads. They say that they take up too much screen real estate.

I would like to see a bugs/suggested improvements sticky thread. Plus match sticky threads.

Other forums with active moderation don't allow duplicate topics so if something is posted that already exists then the 2nd one, or the one with the fewest reactions, gets deleted (or they get merged). It needs constant moderating though which is obviously difficult for a football message board when the moderators are likely to be in attendance.

If it's pinned to the top of the board, hopefully posters will get used to using it and not feel the need to be the 5th person to post a "1-1 Wing" thread in quick succession.
They can be the 5th person to post 1-1 Wing in the match day thread.

Funnily enough, I was delighted to see the 1-1 Wing thread. It was the first I knew about our goal. That said, if there was a M.D.T I worked have just gone in there, and soon found out!
