Under Karanka we scored loads of set play goals.

Karanka was a very pragmatic manager and that's what he was good at. Not everyone's cup of tea but under Karanka you knew as a minimum you would get organisation, good shape and strong from ser pieces.

Even when things were going badly in the Premier League we were never cannon fodder under Karanka. It wasn't until Agnew took over that we became complete cannon fodder. We got quite a few draws and a lot of our defeats were only by one goal. Teams had to come and play well to beat us.
