"We played you off the park"

They had 4 goal attempts in the whole of the first half.

Even if they had 11 players on the pitch, I think we would probably have won by the odd goal.

Just basing on the first half performances, I would say we will finish just above them this season. To think they went into the game yesterday with 5 wins out of 6. The last few games we have started to look like a team with some confidence. No direspect to some of the players at the start of the season but they were not quite good enough or ready enough for the Championship.

I think we would have gained momentum and then kept turning it up a notch towards the end.
 
Obviously you never know but I think we shaded the first half and we had a much better bench and are usually better in the 2nd half anyway.

Bearing all that in mind, I think we would have pulled away from them in the second half if 11 v 11.
 
They had a 15 minute period close to half-time where they were on top and looked threatening but up until then we pretty much controlled things. We were able to play it out from the back with relative ease.
 
Best I’ve heard in regards to the Mackems delusion was a Geordie from work was saying his Mackem neighbour was saying they’d have beaten PSG at the Stadium of ***** had they played them midweek 🤣

Only thing which would have prevented them from beating PSG would have been if they'd had a corrupt ref officiating the game.
 
Thought they were the better team for the final 10 minutes of the first half.

We were comfortably outplaying them before that, and obviously it wasn't even a contest in the second half.
